She just proved why I wouldn't buy DeMellier as the hardware on that black bag looks pretty bad with deep gashes on it. Everyone who bought them complains how easy and bad the hardware wears. And after seeing Tanner dissect Aspinal and their horrible QA bad stitching I wouldn't waste my money either.

Remember Tanner has to slam the brands. He’s competing with them as he sells leather goods and is promoting himself.

@@katemiller7874In fact i’ve been seen him compliment more than slaming those brands. The only criticism he does, and pretty fairly, is the extortionary prices of those bags.

I wanted the DeMellier bag after I first saw Steph review it but then I saw one in the flesh and just thought meh - always looks stylish when I see it on Steph but to me it looked cheap as for Aspinal I've just bought my 5th bag love all of them excellent quality great prices

I absolutely love the Celine 16 bag. One of my best purchases last year was the Celine triomphe wallet on chain. It was 1/2 the price of the regular triomphe bag and it holds quite a bit. It has shown me the quality of Celine. It’s larger and holds more than the Chanel WOC so I really like it. I also ended up with the Celine belt to match. Steph, you sort of got me looking at Celine, but I see the quality and really love the brand. It’s also nice that the logo is a bit more subtle.

During Black Friday sale, because of your suggestion Steph, I too bought a LV black Hobo bag. But I love it! As I get older, I tend to gravitate towards a little larger bag because I can carry my sunglasses and my reading glasses and maybe my distance glasses too, lol. I doubt I'll be able to carry all that in my new Celine 16 bag, which I bought recently in 2023. Going to Italy in the Spring. May get LV GO14 bag or Capucine?? Love your videos! I have learned so much about luxury bags just since Black Friday! I'm all in.

With the Aspinal of London bag, that blue one looks like a Tiffany color and I think it looks more chic than the black. In fact it looks beautiful with what you have on now.

Great video- interesting that you felt like the lavender aspinal bag didn’t work for you because it is pastel yet two of your best were a pastel LV Capucines BB and a Marc Jacob’s pastel sequin tote bag 🤔 maybe it is lavender specifically that didn’t work, not pastels in general.

I’m 💯 in agreement with you Steph, my Celine 16 Small bag is my best purchase for 2023 and the matching Celine wallet (exactly like yours) is my absolute worst purchase. It is ridiculously hard to get cards in and out of the slots and Canadian bills are too large to fit inside the note compartment - ugh! It’s too pretty to part with though. I did also purchase a Celine Cabas 16 tote in smooth calfskin, in the tan colorway along with a matching wallet. The tote is buttery soft and roomy. The wallet is larger and super easy to use. Another great purchase is my new (OG) Loewe Small Puzzle bag in the Oak colorway. It has become my “go to” bag for schlepping around town. It’s so functional and the bag with its geometric puzzle pieces seem to garner a lot of attention from women when I’m out and about with it. You look stunning in that blazer btw! Perfection! 🤍

It's not just me then Ruth we are aligned on the Celine situation! Would you consider another 16 bag, how is yours wearing? Totally get that the wallet is too pretty to part with! @@Handbagholic my Celine 16 is wearing beautifully. I purchased it 8 months ago and there is not a single scratch on the leather. It still smells divine! There are some slight surface scratches on the hardware but I know that’s unavoidable. It bothered me a lot at first but I’m trying to let go of my OCD tendencies where I want everything to remain “perfect”. There’s no such thing and this bag is a workhorse in my life. With respect to adding another one, I want to add another small size in a light color for spring/summer. I absolutely loved the sage green mini you tried on though! Btw, your numbers are growing by leaps and bounds (by 50K since I joined your community). There’s a reason for this. Your content is fabulous and you are so incredibly relatable! Everyone who connects with this channel will instantly fall in love! Well done! 100K is right around the corner and I will be here cheering you on! 🙋🏼‍♀️

I love my Aspinal Hepburn bag, it’s black with Lizard effect. Totally affordable and beautiful. I got the DeMillier Vancouver in Taupe, too. Thank you for suggesting both of these brands!

I bought the Celine light stone woc. It’s such a stunning color! Goes well with so many outfits. I usually wear beige, white, black and brown colors. Perfect bag for spring summer and even autumn (and because it’s the woc a perfect evening bag ass well)

Best- navy demellier because it is a great carefree, light, everyday crossbody and have taken it on many a travelling holiday! Worst- my Stuart weitzman platform heels that are super high that I’ve yet to wear….bought them in sale but they are black so I’m sure I’ll find somewhere to wear them to! 🤣

Nice bags ..tempted by the the DeMellier ..I bought just 4 bags in 2023..I got a mini Evelyne in bleu de Prusse at the end of the year which is a favourite now. The mini Lindy in Limoncello would be next. The Gucci shoulder ophidia is a regret. I realized shoulder bags are not my vibe and it’s a bit smaller than I expected. The lemon Chanel WOC is not a regret but it’s not a hit either. I realized that light colour bags are also not for me

I just love your videos. Thank you. Some great advice. I love purses!!! But live in a community where I don't get to see these kind of bags in store. What size is your Celine 16? I love it, and think it would be a fabulous purchase. My favorite purchases this year were inspired by your videos. I got a red Celine Triomphe in size Medium (beautiful, but I have trouble with the clasp. My phone can be ringing, but will stop before I can actually get my purse open to answer it.) I also got a Demellier Vancouver in deep toffee smooth. My favorite fall bag. Everyone compliments that one!! I would have never known about it if not for your channel. So thank you.

I almost bought the Celine 16 in black but in the grained leather. The only thing that stopped me was the scratches on the turn lock as it was the only one in stock. I was advised to visit another store since they have 2 new in stock but when we got there they only have the satinated calfskin. I adore the smooth leather and looks more luxurious but I know that I wont use it much because I’ll be too afraid to scratch it. I left Celine with a broken heart

Do you wear jeans? Because the hobo Givenchy (is stunning) and would look great with casual attire (jeans and a black or white tee) and so would the two Aspinal of London bags in lavender and turquoise. Or maybe an all black attire? Hope that’s helpful. Love your handbag Collection.

The McQueen jacket is fab but would look even better if you had a tailor let the waist out a bit. You might not have noticed but it’s pulling a bit at the back. ❤

I think they do ship or some retailers do to the US but I know it's harder to get than in the UK

Steph is correct. I live in the states and have ordered from their website. You will have to pay duties so factor that in when you purchase.

I do like it, but in all honesty I’ve hardly worn it. I wear the black one much more frequently. But with all of Chanel’s price increases I’m keeping it regardless 😄
