Thanks for the overview of the different programs you use. I'm so old school sometimes I just use a pen and paper. LOL I like to write directly into a word document. When I'm ready to edit/revise, I change the type of font and the size. I then have a beta reader who goes through the document as well. So far it has worked for me. Excellent video, thank you.

I go back to pen and paper sometimes too - mostly when I'm stuck. I love the hint of changing the font when you edit. That's a fantastic idea! Thanks for watching ❤️

As a “closed” writer who writes evolving stories, I am getting very muddled in my longer manuscript. As Dora would say: The map! I need the map! Scrivener may very well be the tool I need to keep finding myself. I’m only using Word and it’s become a challenge keeping myself organised. Thanks for the great info.

Definitely give Scrivener a try. It's got one of the most generous trial periods I've ever come across - it lasts for 30 days of actual use (so if you use it twice a week it lasts fifteen weeks) rather than just expiring before you have a chance to try it properly. I'd suggest watching the tutorials or YT videos on getting started with it though as it can be a bit to wrap your head around to begin with. I still only use a fraction of what it can do! Let me know what you think!

between prowriting and autocrit which one do you recommend if you can only use 1?
@KerriePatersonAuthorАй бұрын
Hmm, I probably use PWA more regularly since it helps more with grammar, sentence restructuring etc. (I also use it to check writing other than fiction and you can tell it what type of writing it is). It's similar to Grammarly though, so if you use that I wouldn't double up. I use Autocrit more at the end of a draft to look for plot holes etc. Does that help?
