Beno!!! I'm a long time fan of yours from America and I'm excited to announce that next month I'm finally taking my first ever trip to Europe. I'm flying into Munich then going to Stuttgart, Bonn, Cologne, Efteling amusement park and Amsterdam. I'm very excited. Most of the journey is already planned but I'm open to suggestions of things to check out if I have time to kill. I'll have the most time to kill in Amsterdam.

There are a lot of railways to see in Germany. So much to explore. It is a very fun country. One of the best things you can do with the Deutschlandticket is the make use of the freedom it gives, and rather than making rigid plans, be flexible and ride trains as you feel inspired to go on them and explore the rail network.

Interesting fact: The first lift you filmed is the first OTIS lift ever built in Germany. iirc, Siemens manufactured the motors and electrical equipment and Otis did the rest

the lift surf at the start of the video was all fun until engineer detected also, 0:59 Are these lift traction or hydraulic
@benolifts Жыл бұрын
Traction, with a 6 phase pole changer motor. When it speeds up you can see the change between the half speed and full speed pole change
@asetatlikalem Жыл бұрын
@@benolifts cannot imagine how big car that lifts motor and i alsa wonder how Does logic Look like. Maybe has slate of relay.
@benolifts Жыл бұрын
@@asetatlikalem It would have been slate relay originally. Don't know if the logic has been replaced, but it still feels relay controlled. Maybe it has been replaced with a later relay logic.
@asetatlikalem Жыл бұрын
@@benolifts maybe it has logic like the replacement relay logic thing at those bunker lifts. Or maybe it just has a well set up vf drive
@benolifts Жыл бұрын
@@asetatlikalem The lift doesn't have a VF drive as it has the pole change. At a guess I would say it probably would have something similar to the London bunker lifts. It is less likely to have slate relays as the lifts are used constantly and although slate relays are very reliable, with this much use things would have to be replaced, and there would be no spare parts. Alternatively, the lifts could be running on a PLC.

I absolutely love your enthusiasm. The hunters are way more dangerous than the wild boars. I can't stand them c*nts. The water feature reminds me of dandelions that have gone to seed. Germany is a lot of fun for travelling all over the country. The best part is there is no limits. As soon as I am bored with one city, I can go on a train to another, or even just take a random train and see where it goes. A couple of times I went to a city and found it boring as soon as I walked out of the hauptbahnhof, so I simply turned around and got on a train to a different city. This is the type of freedom I could never have in the UK.
