My Greek friends claimed that this was a documentary rather than a movie.

Due to the dual perspectives on the families and the differences between them, this film effectively illustrates ethnocentrism. Due to the extreme cultural differences, the families are first apprehensive of one another, which is an example of ethnocentrism in action. Because they haven't interacted with other families like their own, both families make assumptions about one another. The two experience some uncertainty and unpleasant tension as a result. The two families communicate as the film goes on, get to know one another better, and stop being so judgmental of one another. The fact that ethnocentrism still exists now is what makes it problematic. We ought to be more cognizant of and in tune with the myriad cultural distinctions that exist.

I won't lie to you! When I first saw this, "I thought," "This is how life and family were supposed to be," Their relatives gave them a home! I wish we could have updated our family as you do with your phones.
