I live on a mountain in Southern Oregon. I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. About 2 am, my 2 dogs woke me up whining & nudging me. Half asleep, I got up to let them out for a potty break. In one motion, I turned on the deck light, slid the door open, and stepped outside. Directly across from me on the other side of the fence about 30 feet away, I saw 3 sets of huge eyes 6-8 feet above the ground in the shadow of a huge cedar tree. It was as if their eyes were showing the same "Oh sh*t!" moment I was feeling! They were standing so close to each other side by side. I couldn't make out anything, but they were massive. I took a step backwards, they stepped backwards, I stepped back again & so did they. I slowly slid the door shut and turned off the light. I turned back to see both dogs on the couch shaking and looking at me like, "Are you CRAZY? We were trying to WARN YOU of DANGER OUTSIDE!" This all occurred in less than 3 minutes, but it felt like an hour. Oddly, I laid back on the couch and slept better than I have in years to well past sunrise! When I let the dogs back out their hackles were up and they were doing that huffing sound as they crept up to the fence. All I know is that if my dogs won't go out, I don't go out!

I've had a peaceful close long encounter in Colorado. I was only 11 and I had no clue they lived in America. I was not fearful at all. I said hello. It smiled and smiled and I smiled back. Making faces like it wanted to tell me something. I'm trying to interpret like the deaf community I'd grown up with. Same faces a deaf person makes to add expression to their words. Finally my mom who stood frozen way behind me snapped outta it. And yelled go away. And it looked at me like why did she scream. I was sad mom screamed. It stepped behind a tree and I followed mom as my daddy was running to us. He heard mom scream. I was leaping with delight. Mom was white as a sheet. I was thrilled outta my mind. Still cherish that most special day of my entire life. It was 1978. I'm 56 now. And still have many experiences since. Always. I know where to look. I love em ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ just want us to show that forest respect.

It's very difficult for most of us to talk about our cryptid encounters the first time. Most of these events were traumatizing to various degrees, we're afraid of being ridiculed by those we love, we're afraid of sounding or being thought crazy, etc. It feels kind of like being an abuse survivor who's afraid to tell and doesn't know what to do, it's that kind of isolating. Those who have cryptid encounters together at least share that. But many of us, including me, were alone. So, all of that being said, let me say kudos to you, sir! You're brave to share. I was 12 when I met something whose memory will haunt me until my dying day, and it wasn't until my thirties that I opened up about it except to my nearest and dearest and my early forties that I became more public about it. My friends and family have been very supportive, mostly. And now I talk about Sasquatch experiences on KZbin with strangers, LOL.

I heard something strangely similar while hunting in the St. Joe River drainage of North Idaho. A roaring scream that sounded like a lion's roar mixed with that of an elephant, with a woman's scream, all mixed together. It had a human quality to it, but no human could ever produce that sound at that volume for that length of time. It lasted about 10 seconds, accompanied by the violent shaking of some pretty tall aspen trees that were in a grove about 50-75 yards away. I never saw what made the sound. I'll never forget it, that's for sure.

Back around 1994 My family, and inlaws went up to a cabin not to far up the rim out of the valley where we live. I took my two young sons out for a walk, out in the forest. My father in-law went with us too. We had walked about a half hour when I noticed a large pile of scat on the forest floor. Not too far away from that was the bones and feathers of a turkey. As we passed, my father in-law and I heard about 6 or 7 , what I will say sounded like part grunt, park raspy bark...it was strange. There are no bears there, it was not the sound of a large cat... certainly not any deer that I have heard. We both looked at each other and then we heard the rustling of branches, shaken back and forth. We promptly turned and started back to the cabin. As you said, I'm not 100% certain it was a Sasquatch, but I KNOW it wasn't any Racoon or skunk... Anyway, I have never told this story to anybody...just the same as you..

Me and my brother went for a hike to the waterfall above my home up on the mountain. Once we arrived on top of the mountain and we’re at the waterfall we decided to go higher into the pine trees. I was in front and I started seeing foot prints that crossed the stream and were still wet as if what ever crossed had seriously just been there. (Got to realize this was a hot summer day usually in the 90’s Fahrenheit) As I remember I put my foot in the print, it was 1/4 of the foot print my foot was in. (This was something walking up there with no shoes and huge feet to boot!)The print looked just like a human foot but huge! I called my older brother over and asked hey Mike what does this look like to you? Next thing I know I look back and see my older brothers head cresting the hill! He was booking it down the mountain! He just leaves me there for dead🤣 Well I run like I’m gonna die and start running after him. I never saw or heard anything! But turns out my brother said he saw 3 of them just going into the pines. I never saw them personally. I know there were a lot of sightings around that time especially at the fish farm near there. I must of been 10 years old. One other thing that happened was when I was maybe 13 as i was riding home on 1100 n I heard what sounded like a big foot scream up on the mountain. It was so loud it chilled me to the bones Scary! That’s it. By the way I’m 47 now so do the math it must of been early 1980’s!

Several years ago I was employed by the BLM on the Oregon Coast. I was unique in that I was the only person in the 'office' to go out ALONE into the woods every day. Once I observed a male and female sasquatch eating blackberries. I watched them and they watched me as we ate berries from out respective patches. Another time I was decending a logging road to the river when a juvenile sasquatch daringly ran across the roa in front of me. They would follow me about my timber sale areas and shake the smaller diameter trees behind me. The other people in the office appeared to be terrified of going into the forest alone. I used to do nighttime bat surveys with a lady as she would not go out at night alone.

I was living in a Travel Trailer for a time on my sister's property, about 3 acres or so, circa Summer 2019. The house was in the front, on half the property, and I was in the 'wild lands' back field behind the back yard. This was near Redding, California and the Sacramento River, only several blocks away, basically in the "country" (and County) outside of town, but quite a few residences up and down the streets around the area on big lots. I don't remember what made me open the door and stick my head out to look around one late evening, but something caused me to do it. Maybe some noise. As I was looking around, I heard what sounded like several very slow footsteps in dry brush, going 'crack'... 'snap'... 'crack'... Like someone was walking away slowly, kind of stealthily. I then realized it was RIGHT THERE, about 15 feet away, maybe on this side of the 'see-thru' wire fence, but it could have been right on the other side on the neighbor's property back section. So I was looking, waiting to see some animal wildlife or something, but there was NOTHING. It was dark, but I had my outside trailer light on and there was some good moonshine. If there was something there, I should have been able to see it. Then I heard "someone" run off into the back field. It had to be a VERY large (if not HUGE), heavy animal, like a horse. It was "BUMP! BUMP! BUMP! BUMP!" I was surprised it didn't shake the ground or trailer. But not a 4-legged horse-like clippity-clop, it was an obvious two-legged run, probably with a very long stride. And then it was gone. But I saw NOTHING, like it was invisible. I went back in and locked my door and nothing else happened. I looked around the next day for some footprints, but didn't find any. I can only think that it must have been a Bigfoot.

Hey, thanks for sharing your story. I'm 54 yrs old. Spent my life in the woods and the scariest thing to happen to me ever, happened just a couple of days ago. I was stalked by a big ole deer. I mean stalked. I first came upon it, as I entered the trailhead. I crossed a little bridge over a runoff wash. The deer was to my left getting a drink. I froze, it froze. I stared it down pretty good. Noted 3 black oval patches on it's chest, outlined in white fur and then the rusty reddish brown coat. As you cross this bridge, this is the split for every trail. I take the long high route. It goes thru old growth forest, a rain forest type or boral forest type area, with a long canyon (generally a long wash that leads down to the lake) Well I had to go left, past this deer and then straight fwd aways. I slowly walked around the deer and then turned to look behind me lol. It was RIGHT THERE. Only still to my left. There is a trail right there, the emergency exit. It runs the span or most of the span of road that runs along the sides top 5 acres. Then you head right and deep into the woods, which is where I expected the deer to be. They normally are. No matter how fast or slow I walked, what trail I took, that deer stayed with me. THEN as I'm coming around a corner, cause it's a winding patch in this area, I come right upon the thing. Standing there eating next to a felled tree. I had picked some mushrooms, so I told the deer here I brought you some mushrooms lol. I laid them down on the log. It watched me the whole time and as I backed away back onto the trail it started walking over. I was like ALRIGHT, it's gonna check out the shroomies. IDK if they eat the ones I piced or not. It didn't stop at the mushrooms, oh hell no. It wasn't walking either, it was trotting toward me. I had no where to run too. I just pulled out my buck knife, and I had a military backpack on. I figured it could protect my backside if need be. I didn't really feel like getting stomped to death by a deer that day. It never made a noise tho. Never stomped the ground, let out a sound of any sort. It had the kindest smiling face. HOWEVER, it was letting me know....get out of here. I don't wanna hurt you, but ..and I figured as much.....there's a baby over here, if you come near it I will hurt you. It was like it was speaking directly into my head. I backed away slowly, then turned and ran and cut down the hill. I was up top, but I know the trail head is at the bottom and the bottom trail leads directly to my truck. Just forget going by trail, and then there was the wash. I told myself I'm going down that. I look to my right and there's that damn deer, in the wash but just ahead of me. 15 acres of woods is not that much, but when everything is in full bloom, it gets thick and difficult to see thru very far ahead. I gave up the wash. I figured that's territory I don't wanna get caught on by THAT deer lol. I realized I was still atop a ridge and had to get down. I take my buck knife and walk past the wash, get to the other side and start running a bit and I hear that damn deer breaking branches as it runs thru the woods after me. I jumped over the side and slid down it almost landing in the lake! I stuck my knife in the ground like an ice pick, to stop myself. I look up and GD, there was that deer staring me down. I said to it..look...I'm out. There's my truck, the trailhead etc...I pick myself up and walk out to find ppl in the parking lot. Here's me all dirty, huffing and a buck knife in my hand lol. RIGHT BEHIND ME was a man on a bike busting balls to get out. That deer saw him too!! I've returned daily. There's 3. I think she was grandma, momma doesn't run from me. She is nursing a fawn who runs right up to me. Momma just stands there and lets the fawn figure out what to do. It always turns and goes back to momma tho. I never try to pet or entice them to come near me. I was a forester and wildlife conservationist by trade. (retired) I saw all 3 yesterday. In fact it was the fawn that I first saw. As I came around a corner it came running out of the woods towards me, then stopped. I was like..oh shit...where is momma. I could NOT see her, but knew she was there. When the baby ran back, then I saw her. They just started grazing. It was beautiful. Thanks again for sharing your story. The only other thing that throws things at people are squirrels. Especially during mushroom season. They sit in trees and throw acorns at you. Often you will hear the chatter, so you know it's a squirrel and acorns don't clank down hillside bouncing off other boulders. I hope I never run into one of those things. I doubt I ever will. Who knows..that's what everyone prob. thinks. and then.....

heres my experience from what i can remember i was only like 7 at the time and it happened in the day and later at night. Hiking in Banff with my mom,mom friends and my cousin. We've been walking uphill for quite some time and we came to a plateau so we stopped to take a break and me being the kid i am still having energy and wanting to go, i went downhill close to this guess you could call it a river, but there was large stone in the middle of it so i picked up some rocks and tried hitting the boulder in the middle of the river. As im throwing rocks i start getting hit with pebbles coming from different directions with 1-2 seconds pause between each rock. shortly after i heard my name get called to continue the hike so i left the river and that my daytime experience. what i want know is if i was surrounded by juveniles that wanted to play or an adult telling me that my group is going and was aking sure i dont get left behind. Nigh time experience happened at maybe like 2-3am cause that's when i usually get up to pee ,but because of what happened earlier that day i couldn't sleep, but i did manage a snooze and sure enough i woke up cause had to pee and as i was just getting up to grab the flash light i thought a bear was sniffing my head so instinctively i hit it and made a yelp/yell to scare off the "bear". Now after i hit it, it made a "ah" sound, things went silent for a bit then i heard bi pedal thumps getting further away and with making 0 external sound aside from the deep bass like breathe and the thumps. So thinking back to it now im older it was squatch without a doubt, a bear walking through the woods makes all kinds of sounds and at the campsite we were at we had a nook and my tent was closer to the woods and my head was facing towards the woods which could explain why it got so close. I feel bad for hitting it though now that i know what it was. Prior to this i had no exposure to squatch so for the longest i just told my self it was a bear, but now being 29 and having some experience i know that was a squatch no doubt, simply because there's animal in north america capable of throwing pebbles forgot to mention 1 of those pebbles came from downhill the other 2 i just assumed it was loose rocks tumbling down the mountain or animal walking by kicking it up, but the downhill 1 that always stayed in my mind. Bi-pedal thumps also burned in my memory, but being a kid and not even knowing what bi-pedal means let alone the difference between quadraped and biped didnt really think of it that much it always been the pebbles that were thrown

I've had two encounters over the years, one in 1995, the last in 2021. I've heard whoops and howls so many times that I can't count them all. Never heard tree knocks. In April of 2021 I was on a mountain bike ride up the hollow where I live, I go every day it's nice out. At the head of the hollow there's a cabin and the owner keeps it and the land around it well maintained. I come to the top of a small hill across from the cabin and out in the field 75-100 yards beyond the cabin is a large black figure. I stop, dismount the bike and watched this figure for over a minute, it never moved. It was jet black all over, the shoulders were WIDE, the head was big and round. I couldn't see any light between the arms and the body, but there was light between its legs from about where the knees would be. I never took my eyes off it for over a minute and it was perfectly still and I thought maybe it was a silhouette target the owner had placed in the field to shoot at. I hopped back on the bike and start down the hill to the gate that enters the property about 150 yards away. The figure is still in view until it disappears behind an outbuilding, when the field where it was standing comes back into view the figure is gone. This happens in about 10-12 seconds. I wish I'd crossed the fence and went to see where it went, didn't want to trespass. There's another individual that's had an encounter in that area and he refuses to go up there.

Yeah man, when I noticed rocks being thrown from all directions into the shrubs and up in the tree canopy etc. I felt it was a distraction, to get me to look this way and that way while the others re-positioned. We also heard rocks getting clacked together and thick wood crackling and snapping in half. Lastly there was a thud in the ground off in the distance. Then a few minutes later another huge thud in the ground really close to us that shook the ground under our feet. That's when the anxiety really hit me.

I've heard the screaming noise it sounds like a woman but it's a deep goth roll type scream, you can tell it's coming from something that's a large chested, my encounter was in Lassen National Forest Way Back in the early 1990s. Your video gave me the idea that I should probably do a video about my experience as well. The scream had a paralyzing effect, that's really difficult to describe I was in my tent with my girlfriend and my dog and this thing was circling our tent screaming, my arms felt like they were encased and cement, all of us were paralyzed with fear I remember looking at my dear rifle thinking I needed to grab it but I couldn't get the strength to move my arms, and after a while all of us passed out, when we awoke the next morning nothing had been Disturbed, Daybreak seems sort of euphoric but calmly broke camp and left.

I do have a Big Foot story. This took place in Mill City Oregon. Around the late 70s. I was fairly fit then due to hiking every time I could. A friend and I were off 22 on a logging rd. Parked at the entranced with my little car. So off we go with out Shaleighes on hand, we were only about a mile from my car when we started hearing a BIG snap of a tree. My trusty old Border Collie was behind me for some odd reason I thought. Daisy the Dog started a low growl in her throat, Mary Kay and I stood still and could hear branches snapping quickly then low sounding "growls" for lack of a better word. My hiking partner thought it sounded like laughter. We started forward again and my dog got in front of me and still mumbling prevented us from going further. So feeling nervous we hightailed it back towards the car. But on the way back out we started seeing hugh broken limbs everywhere and Mary Kay pointed out scratches or gouges in the tree's fairly far up. We did not run but increased our speed. Got to my car and saw BIG muddy footprints 👣 all around my car and saw they were going down the trail. Daisy stood in front of the car whinging with her hackles up. We all jumped in and reversed that "mother" and got the hell out of Egypt. Another time we had good friends in Gates and 2 different times they saw the Old Man step over the deer fence and help himself in the garden. Well I guess that was their story not mine! BUT we lived in Union Oregon in 2016-2017 don't remember what year this happened. This was in mid October and I walked off the front porch to walk along the sidewalk to get into a shed, right? When I walked back to the porch and saw where there was still a sciff of snow a VERY LARGE footprint . A bare footprint. With toes and everything. Of course I took several pictures and they are on my other very old phone. I showed Rod but he just said....Aaa Huhh 😆. So that is my ( and friends ) stories!

Great story, and you know what it was. And people still want to be in denial. How many people have to come forward before they will believe is all? Thanks for sharing your story, and it's like my first encounter. I knew it was nothing I've heard before in the woods I grew up in and ran around for 38 years. I know every sound we have where I live my whole life. What each animal sounds meant literally. And like you said, I never heard anything like a sasquatch vocalize. I Even heard one speak a language. Sounded like native Ojibwe to me. But the thing that really set it apart from everything else in the woods. Was the incredible power and booming vibration that it had. Every word it said shook me, vibrated my chest, and I stopped in my tracks like I was a toddler being scolded by my father,( who is 11 feet tall and 800lbs of solid mass.) They are real, and they are advanced than humans by far. They are not lessor like a gorilla. I believe gorilla are more intelligent than humans by far as well. Humans are not as brilliant as we believe we are. And we are not the only sentient being in this world/universe. ~ Dimensions . There are many species, many dimensions, and many sasquatch people. We have allot to learn and very little time to do so.

That's not something anyone wants to deal with. Especially in near dark with a crappy flip phone flashlight. I had my only experience (so far) on May 1st, 2022 in Big South Fork NRRA, way back on a dead end road in middle TN while solo camping. Everything was fine until a little after 11pm, when these SUPER LOUD hoots and screams started all at once and around me, accompanied by branches and sticks being broken as several of these "beings" ran through the trees making these sounds which morphed into what I can only describe as demonic chimpanzee sounds. Of course, just out of the reach of my small yet powerful flashlight's reach. I barely had signal enough to reach my wife to come pick me up. I piled everything into my hammock, dropped it from the two trees it was attached to and drug it to the road and waited. It took her over an hour to reach me and it was the most absolute terror I have ever endured while in the woods. Thanks for sharing your encounter. 👍👍

My husband and I live in Oregon and have had several experiences. We were sitting at Clearwater park just on the outskirts of Springfield Oregon. It was dusk and we were sitting by the river at a picnic table, when suddenly from the bushes across the river came a blood curdling scream. It sounded like a tarzan yell followed by a gurgling, screaming sound. That's the only way I can describe it. I grew up in the woods and I have NEVER heard a sound that weird in my life. What's even weirder is it kept making the scream over and over as it ran at lightning speed away from the river and up a ridge. To me it sounded like something scared it. Anyhow we got out of there. I think it had been watching us. Another time we were up on Quartz road near Vida picking chantrells. We'd been out there all day because we were finding a lot. It was nearing dusk. Then my husband tells me he is going to run up the ridge to see if he can find a bigger patch, so he leaves. As soon as he left I heard something very large walking straight toward me. Branches were snapping. So I screamed to my husband to come back. He yells "why?" And I yelled back "Because there's a large animal coming straight for me." Thank God he came running back real fast. Right when he got there he heard it too. Then it stopped walking. We waited silently for another branch snap. Then we heard one snap, and it stopped again. Then it was getting dark and my husband said we better go. Thank goodness for his good sense. He had a pistol, but that wouldn't do much. We high tailed it out of there. It must have been watching us because it came walking toward me as soon as my husband left. Another time my husband was camping with his brother up by Waldo lake. Around 10 pm they heard a blood curdling scream. They stayed awake all night holding their guns. In the morning they left. lol! You would too, believe me. Our other experience was on a river. We were driving along on a hot day and decided to go for a swim. We pulled over at a nice looking swim area with a good sized beach. We played in the river for hours. I found a deer antler as soon as we got there. It was my bright idea to try and swim across the river to go explore a very pretty meadow on the other side. There were no roads or trails over there. Just wilderness. So we swim across and as soon as we got out of the river we noticed a forest boundary sign with a metal post laying on the ground as if someone just yanked it out of the ground and threw it there. (I think those are cemented in!) I told my husband "Look at that. That's weird." If you've ever seen one you know you can't just yank them out of the ground. lol! So we continue walking toward the meadow, which has a vast forest behind it. As soon as we walked about 10 feet we heard a huge tree knock coming from the woods just behind the meadow. We both stopped walking and listened. We heard a few more loud tree knocks, so loud they echoed through the woods. We looked at each other and agreed it was a bigfoot. Gripped with fear we headed straight back to the river and dove in and swam quickly back to the other side, packed our things and left. I know they are real and I don't want to meet one. No thank you! Anyone who doesn't believe needs to go spend a few nights in any Oregon forest. The fact that so many of us are hearing and seeing them tells you they must be over breeding. They are everywhere now. No joke!! And they aren't friendly.

Me and my buddies were on the patio of the house smoking and looking over at the view of the mountains, it had just gotten dark. Out of nowhere this unbelievable roar ruptured all of our ears and travelled kilometres down the view of the mountains. All 5 of us basically shat our pants and went inside, none of us have ever heard anything even close to whatever the hell it was. It’s amazing what an experience like that can do. My mother, sister, and I all got to witness something that many would call unbelievable. I might too had I not been there, but I was. I’ve never (as far as I know!) had an encounter with a Bigfoot, but people I know have. Once you experience something you’ve been told your whole life “isn’t real,” it’s a great deal harder to doubt other’s stories, you know? Experiences like yours are gifts, really, for they remind us that there is more to this world than we know, they allow us to recall the wonder of youth, they give us a glimpse into the mysteries of all this, and they challenge us to trust others when they share a story they’re shy to tell so that we might help them to feel less weird or “crazy” or even just alone with something really profound. We really do not know all there is to know, but stories like yours at least help us formulate a question. Questions like, “what are those beings in the woods?” Thanks again for sharing.

I think one of the most curious part of seeing or experiencing these sorts of things is just how normal it all is and it’s only later when we start asking ourselves things like, “wait - if that happened there and if I was here, that means….” I think people like to imagine something like a Spielberg movie with wind blowing and us standing and staring in rapture, our minds being blown by the crazy truth of it all. But it’s not like that, exactly. It happens in this normal, real world of ours where 5 minutes earlier your biggest issue was where that chain got to and hoping you could find it. Then rocks start to fly and literal boogeymen start yelling at you from the forest and in another ten minutes you’re trying to make sense of things and meantime where are you going to get gas and should you just pick up a pizza. It does change you, but it takes a little while to go through all the things it couldn’t have been. This might sound outrageous, but my personal suspicion is that “Sasquatch” may be visitors from elsewhere who come here to primitive camp.

There really is not any other animal that could have been chunking huge rocks. Thanks for sharing your story...as you said if you never tell it then nobody would ever know...and truthfully I would bet that many people who have encounters with something as you did just do not tell their story for fear of ridicule or skepticism of people. I just know from hearing your story and other stories told by people that seem to be truthful that there is things out in the woods that we do not know of as of yet. I hope to live long enough that someone will have undeniable proof of "Bigfoot".....but I also wish that if that happened people would let them be. If they are out there, they are obviously peace loving, and in many ways much smarter than us humans to have survived so long and remained free and not captured .
