My pompas grass started out that size 4 years ago but now it's about 4 ft wide by 7 ft tall.

Wow, awesome! That sounds like a regular one, this one is a dwarf variety but if it gets too big for the spot I'll divide it! I love things I can divide and keep adding elsewhere!

Very pretty..but you are like me TERRIFIED OF SNAKES...Pompous grass THEY LOVE!!! We had some of it...PULLED IT UP DISPOSED OF IT found ground rattlers in it...HAD TO GO. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLANT just not for me as TERRIFIED as I am of snakes! You did a wonderful job tho!!

Oh my word, got me worried now. Thankfully this plant is dwarf so the bottom won't get real big and once it's bigger than 18" around I'll divide it. I think keeping it smaller will help with them having much space to hide in. The snake fear is an ironic situation for me as God made me a lover of plants and nature and all the gardening I do is therefore creating GREAT habitats for creatures I do NOT like to run into. I don't even like frogs or lizards, lol, they always scare me. But here I am always giving them all more cozy homes!
