I'm a 71yr old gardening artist, and I get so excited whenever you put out a new video. I'm here for all the info, the visuals, the production, the art, design and I'd love a complete tour of your house! I love old and vintage objects, especially when they are used in creative and quirky ways...and I absolutely enjoy the storyteller that you are! I can't tell you how amazing your productions are, and I just want you to know that I recognize the extraordinarily hard work that must be involved. Thank you so much for all you do!!!!

You're the only creator that I know of that specifically talks about English cottage gardens. I do love that you've done a wide variety of different types of videos, walking people through how to grow different plants., How to start seeds etc. I also really appreciate that you do everything on a budget but care about the aesthetic. "While summer is always a visual feast, as plants grow old, the garden gains an unruly tone as Eden sinks to grief." When you said this, I caught my breath at its beautiful sonorous expression. Is it perhaps a reference to "Nothing Gold Can Stay" a well-loved poem written by the renowned American poet Robert Frost? Frost wrote the poem in 1923. For most of his life, Frost lived in the idyllic New England region of the U.S., and he enjoyed incorporating nature themes and motifs into his writing. Just as you do in your presentations. Here is the full text of the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay": Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Your gardens, commentary, content and observations are a work of art. Thank you!

I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't see a video from you for a while. This season by season tour was wonderful. I so appreciate your artist's eye, and how you share your knowledge of color theory in specific ways. The additional theme graphics make this garden tour a real treat. I like to shape small ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennial vines to provide balance and structure (as well as much needed shade) here in Southern California. They key concepts you share can be replicated with drought tolerant plants, including those that work in the South of France, Italy, and Australia. Bougainvillea, stattice, rosemary, lavender, 'rock roses', flowering sages, and even some cacti/succulents can stand in for more traditional cottage garden plants. Currently I have red nasturtiums, alyssum, California poppies, and freesias growing great, and all of the rosemary (used as a landscape plant here) in the neighborhood is full of blue flowers. The bees are so happy. No snakes here, but skunks and raccoons love to dig up everything. Hawks, owls, and coyotes mean I rarely see a wild rabbit. It's great to see and hear about garden beauty and challenges from other parts of the world. I'd love to see more! :)

I think it would be great for your channel if you did garden tours of other gardens as well (maybe ones you enjoy, maybe ones you would want to improve on) or if you have client's gardens to return to every years you would have non stop flow of content. You provide a unique insight into gardening that most landscapers lack, leaning more into the artistic side that I would have never known about from other contractors. It really opened my eyes on the possibilities of landscaping that can be implemented.

I seldom comment on KZbin! But, I have been captivated and drawn into your channel, Siloé. I love everything that you produce. We recently moved house (I live in the UK), and the garden is terribly neglected. The lawn is weedy, thick and unpleasant. The soil is horrible - heavy clay. The shrubs are woody and deep-rooted, however - I am inspired by your videos. The gentle touch to the landscape without overly organising, the bursts of greenery, the naturalness, everything. I love your 'how to' videos, your 'classes', the art footage, the moments of despair - it makes one feel like you aren't a superhero gardner ;) and mainly, making do and mend attitude that comes with a low income. Anything you produce is worth watching, in my opinion. I'm just so happy to have discovered your channel and will be taking inspiration to create my own cottage garden. Thank you so much for sharing your world.

I would LOVE to see the side yard and back yard! I can’t remember which house you recreated the walking path down the side of the house, but I believe this is the house where you made those lovely, decorative enclosures to protect cucumbers and other plants from the groundhogs, would enjoy seeing how those are doing!

💐 Love, love, love! I was so excited to see a new video from you, and it was worth the wait. I'm your neighbor in Virginia (where the Rappahannock meets the Bay), and look to your videos for advice on what works. This year I've even devised my own plate sprouting method after yours. Many thanks for all your excellent hard work!

Please show more of the space! That white azalea is like a big white cumulous cloud, coming to visit. It's a wonderful contrasting backdrop. Your designs are inspired. How you roll with the challenges and imperfections is the best part. I love the seasonal presentation, BTW. It shows how gardens are really an art form resembling Calculus (the time factor).

More, please! Have you considered arctic fire dogwood for winter interest? It has multiple red canes that are lovely by themselves in the garden or the canes can be cut for wreaths, floral designs etc. it has a cousin arctic sun. Hellebores/Lenten roses grow best in shade, so perhaps as a ground cover under the crape myrtle along with heuchera/coral bells. The foliage color choices are fabulous. About the pests. Sometimes plants need more airflow, but I’m slightly claustrophobic so i like some space

Your gardens help us dream of what can be done, isn't that what gardening should be about. It's interesting how both your gardens reflect both your houses. It would be interesting t see how you came to this.

You should be a landscape designer. You create such beautiful spaces. I really appreciate seeing the beauty you create. I wonder if you could get rabbit fencing that surrounded your whole yard, that goes deep enough into the ground that they can't dig under. I use the pepper spray on my roses against the squirrels with some success and you can put pepper pellets in the garden to keep them out; it doesn't hurt anyone, just makes the flavor of your new greens unpalatable. Their nibbling can become very discouraging. I'm so excited to see what comes up this year. Please, please share more videos on the side and back yards. It's really a joy to see the beauty you create.
