I just wanted to say that some time ago, your videos (especially "road to 2K" series of vids) helped me to so to speak "chill out" in my sim racing endeavour. When I saw you calmly narrating and joking while progressing (and dodging some bullets) in the race, it made me re-think my approach - and since then I'm trying to pursue the fun part rather than the highest of results. Been waiting for your vids, glad you back Q!

The Porsche Cup car has been my nemesis since I got my C license and decided I wanted to race it. Seems like everyone has nothing but great things to say about it and how much fun it is to drive, but it wasn't until I compared them to all the people who say the Dark Souls games are terrific and wonderful and must-play that I realized some people find enjoyment in the difficulty, and I'm not one of them. As you said in the video that brought me to your channel, "I am a mediocre sim racer, and that's okay!"

Great video! I race the F4 and It's fun. Yesterday I played Starfield all day and had a blast. Racing competitively every day is way to much for me.

i have the EXACT same issue is you, ive stressed way to hard about iRating in the passed and wouldnt let myself ever race pretty much because "i need more practice". Just letting lose and sending it into races are where ive had alot of fun. Good to have you back Q, been missing ya! :D

It's a funny thing, isn't it? It's not like most of us are ever going to be (or would want to be) esports stars, so the only point is to enjoy it. Then we set ourselves targets that stress us out! I decided/realised a while ago that being properly fast is not a worthwhile goal. The racing at P10 is often as much, if not more, fun as at P1. In fact P1 often spends the whole race on their own out front. My target nowadays is just to be fast enough to stay out of the carnage at the back of the grid.

Great words man! I think… It's not that simple. iRacing is very competitive, and it gives many people a rush and a kick. At the same time, it can harm one's mental health because a severe low can follow the rush and the way around. It acts somewhat like a drug. Additionally, there's a tendency to prefer iRacing over other simulations when your subscription is already active because otherwise, you feel like you're wasting your money. This trick has been working for decades in games like WOW. iRacing has truly become very good; we should enjoy it consciously and not excessively."

Its funny you say this, I had a bad week and dropped to 1475 irating and now seemed to have developed a serious mental block with acctually racing. So worried about trying to get a netter pace I have been essentially just practicing for 2 weeks now lol. Like wtf is wrong with me.
