I find 1:400 and 1:500 too small. I always try to get 1:200 for widebodies and narrow bodies. If not, slightly bigger for regional / smaller aircraft

@@wenzhongyang I have 1:200 for most aircraft. I have a Dash-8 and a CRJ which is 1:100 though. I have an A319, A321 and A380 1:150. A 737 which is 1:130. DC-3 as 1:80. The rest are 1:200, narrow bodies such as the 707, 737, 757 and the A320 and wide like 747, 777, 787 and an A350. Yes. I have a lot 😭

8:38 Bro I saw that plane IRL back in 2021 at my hometown in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu (TGG/WMKN) and made a video about it. 8:51 The Negaraku livery was initially painted as a special livery on a select number of aircrafts (1 out of 40-ish B738s, 3 out of 6 A332s and 3 out of 6 A359s) and intended to celebrate the 60th National Day. However, for some reason I couldn't find, someone said to Malaysia Airlines that the livery is quite nice, so they decided to make it a new standard livery going forward. Hence, you see so many Malaysia Airlines' planes nowadays being painted with that livery. Heck, even 9M-MXA (previously painted in the MAS's 40th Anniversary retro livery) has been repainted with the new standard livery, with 9M-MLV now sported with a more accurate retro livery.

The old livery of Icelandair does look way better imo.. but the issue of the herpa model breaking happened to me as well. An a220 of air Baltic that i got just decided to give up and an engine fell. fortunately nothing too serious

Everyone says they have issues with Gemini Jets. Luckily I’m not one of those, however I always get broken models with Herpa. I got a Etihad Airways A340-600 in the F1 scheme, and every single part besides the vertical stabilizer had fallen off. Add insult to injury, the #3 engine cowling was missing from the box. Plus it was a present and the person bought it so far ahead I couldn’t return it. Now I have a glued and fixed A340 with the #3 engine siting there, waiting for the F1 cowling which I don’t think I can buy. I’ve only been getting GJ’s, NG’s, & AeroClassics since with a few others occasionally like JC Wings. At least you had all the pieces for it! 😅

Tip: if you receive a broken model and you go to fix it but your super glue bottle is broken or something is wrong with it, unscrew the top and just dip a toothpick or something long and skinny in the bottle to get some glue, you won’t need much. There is no reason to buy a whole new bottle even if you have a full bottle that is broken.

When you unboxed the air canada a220 retro livery, it reminded me of the time I saw AN AMERICAN AIRLINES WITH US AIRWAYS RETRO LIVERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I remembered sometime im getting a TWA 757-200 in 1 400 scale. and 757-200 makes me think of DHL flight 611. 🥶🥶

Really nice models! I particularly love the B737s by NG Models / JC Wings so it was nice seeing you unbox an NG Model 737. Have you ever gotten a Garuda Indonesia? Imo their livery looks quite nice and they’ve got interesting variants such as a Pokemon plane, POCARI SWEAT plane and also one with Indonesia’s anniversary.

I have an idea for the 1:400 scale airport, since both airlines are Asian and the Malaysian is a 737 while the 787 is Singapore, maybe have Changi as you're 1:400 scale airport, you should get an A330 Garuda model too, it looks amazing

I recently got my first model. Its a Lufthansa A380 Gemini Jet 1:400 scale. It’s registration is D-AIMK I’m pretty sure it does the Munich - Bangkok route. It costed me a whopping $126 AUD. [ Australian Dollars ]

The details on the 400 models look SO freaking good, but at the same time, I feel like I can't just abandon scale 500 - plus I love the big european selection in it! I’ve actually decided to turn my focus to 400 just since they have better details, not too bad of pricing compared to 500, and they’re more common overall. And yes, I finally got the Icelandair max 8 after like a year 😂 one day I’ll have to visit a model shop and make a vid about it

I actually got a cool plane model at Gdańsk airport (in poland) after a 1 week holiday. It’s a Boeing 787-9 Lot Polish Airlines in 1:200 scale. Also it’s the special independence livery celebrating Poland’s independence. Even though it costs £30 (don’t know how much that is in dollars), I highly recommend getting it.
