You Can do behind the scenes Tours There but yeah Most of the people dont see it
@FrederikHeld14 сағат бұрын
You can do a guided "behind the scenes tour" there. They have a lot of easter eggs that you can only see from behind the backdrop. Highly recommended!
@fosterfuchs5 күн бұрын
This place is simply amazing! My wife and I went there in early 2023. We spent 6 hours there and didn't even get to look at all the detail of all the areas. The Hamburg area includes a miniature of Miniature Wunderland. You can look inside the model building, and you see a twice shrunk miniature version of Miniature Wunderland. It is possible to buy a behind-the-scenes tour, too.

Went to Miniature Wunderland last year. Never expected it to be so impressive, your brain can't take it all in. A little tip: it's a really, really popular attraction, so it's best to buy your tickets way ahead. We purchased tickets 3 days ahead, and were lucky to snatch the last ones for that weekend.
@fosterfuchs5 күн бұрын
Absolutely. Plus with the purchase of the ticket you get a time slot for entry. I think the price of admission is more than reasonable for what you get to see.
@ThePeingebreck5 күн бұрын
I live very close to Miniatur Wunderland and visit it at least two to three times a year for almost twenty years now and every time I discover something new. I can highly recomend to visit this place, because it is a totaly different experience when you see it for yourself and not in a video :)
@jpatt10005 күн бұрын
I've seen videos of this for year but it's one of those things that I think I need to see in person to truly appreciate the scale of it all... It is on my to do list.

Love the fact that the airplanes actually take off, that' so cool. It is not the first miniature airport though because Madurodam Miniature Park The Hague which opened in 1952 has a miniature Schiphol Airport Amsterdam.
@marcelbinken14 күн бұрын
That's another scale of course and, beacuse of it's age, not in a 1000 miles comparible what Knuffingen airport is.
@jms49895 күн бұрын
The airport in Madurodam Miniature Park can’t simulate real airport operations tho (mainly due to size and not enough space), unlike Knuffingen Airport, where you actually have vehicle coming to every plane that has landed

the clouds should be scarce with a backlit (LED based) light blue sky, much better than dark grey curtains! i can definitely suggest upgrades to these sets to make them much better. they can also alternate the sky with an entirely black shroud with small LED bulbs to indicate stars at night and a fine mist that is moving to indicate clouds.

Yeah I would have liked to see and hear more about all of it actually works. Underneath what everyone sees was just incredible. A level of building that most people don't even know exists and not just with miniatures. People have no idea the amount of wiring, pipes, and everything else it takes to make things work. I was an electrician for a while and did some industrial sites and the work when done is just a thing of beauty and what I saw in this video reminded me of that but on a whole other level. While I only dealt with electrical work these guys are dealing with the entire gambit of infrastructure it looks like.
