@@PolarWarriors pw you're doing well, but you're treating an illness and not the problem... You and I aren't sick, we are the way we are. And if we lived in a different society in timeline we would be rulers and warriors. All in all you're missing the real problem of bp. Anywho you took the path of medication. And I took the path of life... I feel for you but don't feel sorry, you've made your choices and those brought you to today. Same for me.. all in all the healing process is similar...

Rob, your videos were literally life changing to me. To the person with bipolar, this is a great source of help. But I think you help those who have a loved one with bipolar tremendously as well. I consider the day I found your content the pivotal point of starting to understand this condition and it is key. The person with bipolar needs an advocate and support- and the person in that relationship needs a guide to help them navigate the journey. What a tremendous service you and the team provide. It is relationship, sanity, and life-saving! Much love to you all!

This channel is giving me so much hope and helping my family immensely. We lost my brother last year to substance abuse, and I was just diagnosed this month with bipolar I. He never believed his diagnosis and just kept self medicating and getting himself into immense amounts of trouble. I was never allowed to have problems because his were so intense. My parents could “only handle one kid with a problem, so just stop it!” Was all I ever got. Even now, my dad just won’t accept it and thinks I’m making it up for “attention” or to “get out of working.” I’ve had a successful business for 15 years up until I just couldn’t take the pressure anymore and had a breakdown. Lost everything. I’m lucky to be alive, and thankful I now have an amazing psychiatrist who listened to me enough to work through my denial about this condition. I’ve had dozens of psychiatrists and therapists who just didn’t bother to try to treat anything, because, “you’re so successful! You’re probably just dealing with some depression because of xyz.” Very few people have ever known how bad it would get sometimes. And I’ve blamed myself my whole life for ruining so many things. I’m so grateful I found your channel. ❤

Thank you, dear, for sharing this so personal story of yours. My heart goes out to you... My own daughter is ill and an exceptionally complex & difficult case. Toward me she's in total denial & keeps me at a distance, far away from herself. I have no difficulty to believe what you write. Also what you write about therapists & psychologists & psychiatrists who just do not care enough to really wanna get to the bottom of things. I'm glad you now seem to have found a competent plus caring psychiatrist. I can only encourage you to "Keep up the good work!" And yes, I also fully agree that this channel & Rob himself are a blessing to this world and are probably touching innumerable lives in a helpful & supportive way. It certainly has helped me BETTER understand my daughter, although I'm "not allowed" to help her personally. I just sent another one of Rob's videos to her husband, asking him to gently convince her to watch it and hoping that Rob's video might speak to her. Many blessings to YOU and never despair: Despite your struggles, on the INSIDE you are a magnificent diamond, untouched & unaffected by any disease, be it mental or physical! Greetings from Brussels. *M*

@@PolarWarriors Rob, the day will come, imho, probably only "in the next world", a dimension or two "higher up", when you will no longer suffer from your affliction and no longer need to fight & deal with it, but are "free again" from all earthly afflictions. And while you'll be feeling so filled with gladness, joy and relief that you aren't walking but DANCING... this line of folks will NOT let you pass without showering you with their love and immense gratitude for what You have done "down here" with your humble means and DESPITE your own struggles. Although I tend to say that I have bipolar, I feel like I am bipolar, and that's what I'd like to say, to be honest, but I don't. The distinction is subtle and yet strong. However, the "have" part also leads to confusion too. I've been told to not have it then as if it was a choice. That's why people accept it better if you say you are bipolar. Are we people pleasing even in our moments of identification or introduction?🤔

Hi 👋, Rob! I too used to say am when referring to my bipolar. And some people at church say that (is and are). I politely correct her. But she’s also quite older than me. So, advice my Grandma (maternal) came to mind. I pick my battles when I can. I just don’t fight that battle as often as I used to. I changed churches. I no longer attend the church I grew up in (united methodist). Too much to go into there. But the church I attend now (nondenominational) is walking distance from my apartment. And I feel more comfortable there. I’m Andrew. The reason why I stopped being a patreon member is I can’t afford it. I really appreciate what you do. And if you’re ever in Reston, Virginia I owe you a hug.

I have a son his 9 year old now,and one day his teacher told me that my son has bipolar because of the way he behave sometime at school even at home I keep wondering until that day his teacher called me and explain it to me ,so I want to know how can I help him

@@AgnessLugawa Hello Agness. You and your son's teacher have both noticed some characteristics and behaviors that appear more than just normal child development. Maybe write down a list of the issues that have raised concerns for you. How old was your son at the time? And how long did the issue last for? Then do the same for the information his teacher has communicated to you. ▶️ Is it possible where you live to see a general practitioner doctor? Take your lists to the appointment. And request a referral for your son to see a Child Psychologist or visit a Clinic that specializes in Childrens Development and Health. Best wishes to you both.
