It's been 10 years since my son was born at 29 weeks, and when you said "what are they waiting for" I burst into tears because I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday. My story is literally identical to yours, just a few weeks earlier. Went in for routine 28 week appointment. My husband actually happened to come with me that day, opposite of yours, and when the nurse left the room I remember without saying "blood pressure is great" like she always did, telling him "I'm not worried about it, I'm sure it's fine" and just then, my doctor came in and said "well I'm worried about it, you've earned yourself a trip up to labor and delivery" No one told me I was staying either. I finally asked when they thought I'd go home and the nurse said "oh honey you aren't going anywhere until the baby is born" My back hurting was my symptom of HELLP syndrome. Three days later, by night time I was so sick. By three in the morning I remember thinking "I don't know if I can beg for a C-section but this has to stop or I'm going to die". They finally came in at 4:00 and said they were going to discuss whether they could induce me or would need to do a C-section. I couldn't barely talk at this point, but in my head I was screaming "are you kidding me??? You can't induce me, I can't even think straight, do the C-section NOW". My dad was there and I just kept repeating "I can't" over and over looking at him. He looked so helpless. They finally came in at 5:00 and said they were doing the C-section, I barely scratched out my signature on the page, I know it wasn't legible. I remember when they put in the spinal block, it felt like heaven because I felt better for the first time I'm three days. I remember my husband calling my mom and saying "it's a boy" and then I don't hardly remember anything else until a day later when the nurse asked if I needed anything and I said "my baby, I need to see my baby". 10 years goes fast. Take in every second!

Exactly 40 years ago I went to doc for reg 7 month checkup, feeling bloated, but fine, I had gained a lot, urine test and he told me I had PreEcclampsia and that the baby had to be delivered in 24 hours or I would die! Sent to hospital, they immediately induced labor, and I did have a vaginal birth 12 hours later...I was in intensive care, unconscious for 3 days...I almost died. Your husband is amazing! Your care was intense, certainly better 40 years later. Two years later, normal pregnancy and I suddenly went into labor after my husband made me so upset with his cruelty (mental cruelty, not physical). No return of PreEcclampsia, just a labor that would not stop. My two sons weighed 3 lbs 10 oz, and 3 lbs 9 oz. I got a divorce and got married to a good man. Both sons are grown today, fathers themselves, and amazing they are!

Same thing happened to me. I nearly died through the process. Yes, you feel fine that's why they call it a silent killer. Unfortunately my baby was not deemed legally viable at 23+ weeks so he passed away. That was 10 years ago. I am currently 25 weeks and 4 days pregnant with another baby boy. Finally able to enjoy this pregnancy because I've passed the first milestone. (he is viable now so if anything should happen they will assist baby medically). Everything is going smoothly. God is good❤️

Same thing happened to me, except I had every obstetric emergency one after another lol. I had preeclampsia, hellp syndrome, foreceps, cord prolapse, placental abruption, massive haemorrhage, in ICU in a medically induced coma for 2 days. All the blood in my body was replaced via transfusions…. Yeah, it was fun 😂 I was dilated to 9cm and fully effaced when I got to the hospital… I just thought I was constipated 😂 so yeah my twins were born at 31 weeks, Evie was born first via forceps and an episiotomy with no pain relief… it was too late 😢 and then Harry fell out butt first then the abruption happened and all hell broke loose. I was pushed to theatre and the doctor was running along side me. I ended up with a balloon inside my uterus filled with fluid, and a bunch of gauze stuffed inside me too. It wasn’t a good time lol. Evie was 2lbs and Harry was 2lbs 2oz - oh and this has just happened, I’m in NICU right now my twins were born on the 30th of April and it’s now the 25th May so we’re on day 26 of our NICU journey. Here’s to hoping they get home soon 🤞🏼

Hiccups! I’m an RN so wanted to shed light on some stuff ❤️ The blood pressure cuff has to get right enough to cut off blood supply to get a reading. So it was really tight because your blood pressure was so high. The blood pressure medication they gave you along with the magnesium was more than likely labetalol. The betamethasone is a steroid to develop babies lungs quickly. The reason everything is so foggy and you don’t remember much is also from the magnesium. It makes you really fuzzy and so slow. It’s called Mag-drag. I had a similar birth experience.. so glad you and Quinn are doing good. She is beautiful

I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks, placenta abruption, and they didn’t quite tell me how bad the magnesium can get. I felt on fire and threw up. But thankfully no fogginess afterwards. Preemies are heroes ❤️❤️

Also an RN (in L&D) and I agree with Bethmarie44! I am also a mom of 5 and at 28 weeks today with my last. I’ve been given magnesium with three (including this one) and it messes with your muscle tone and makes you feel generally wretched. The steroids help mature baby’s lungs and I am also taking labetalol daily because my blood pressure has been on the increase. I’m so glad that you are both ok!❤️

I also had preeclampsia with my first baby. I had him 7/19 this year! At around 33 weeks, I went to the doctor and had slightly high blood pressure. I was sent to L & D for monitoring and everything checked out fine and I was sent home. At 37 weeks, I went to a normal appointment. Before this, I had had a few headaches that went away with Tylenol, and I was pretty swollen. But it was the middle of summer, and my mom had told me she had gotten swollen when she was pregnant, so I didn’t think much of it. So at my appointment, my blood pressure was very high and I had gained 9 lbs in 10 days and my swelling was even worse. So they sent me over to L & D and my blood pressure went up from there. But still I was convinced that I’d go home later because I felt fine and my baby was fine!!! But once I got to the hospital, my doctor rounded and told me I needed to be induced because I had preeclampsia. I was SHOCKED. I called my husband and they started giving me a bunch of medicine and prepared to have me induced. Long story short, I labored for 2 days, was on magnesium as well. And ended up with a c section because I got to 4cm and stopped and it had been 24 hours since my water broke. After my son was born, I had to stay in L & D for 24 hours for monitoring for me and stay on the magnesium. I’m so thankful my baby was healthy and didn’t need any NICU time. And I had to be on BP medicine for 6 weeks post partum. When I saw my doctor 5 days later after delivery for a BP check, they weighed me in the office and I was already 27 pounds down! It was a lot of fluid gain. Preeclampsia is so scary. Because I feel like everyone has a different story and symptoms. It’s not text book usually. And there are people like me and you who really don’t have a lot of symptoms at all who have it!!!

I had basically the same thing happen to me. I went in for my 32 week appointment on Friday 3/13/2020 and I had gained 25 lbs in two weeks (water weight) and my bp was 170s/110. They sent me to the hospital and my bp has shot up to 210/112. I at this point was 32 weeks 5 days. They finally got my blood pressure down after two hours, and they decided to do an art line in my artery on my right arm (so an Iv in my artery to monitor my blood pressure instead of a blood pressure cuff) I was also on magnesium and it was so horrible made me feel like crap. The next morning they checked me and I was dilated to a 1 and they started inducing me with a foley bulb and some other things and throughout this time I had no other symptoms of preeclampsia. No protein in my urine all my blood work came back normal etc. So they started inducing me Saturday morning and around 11pm they put this balloon thing in my cervix and filled it with liquid to dilate me more and it had to stay in for 12 hours. I vaguely remember but I started having bad contractions so during the night I had gotten my epidural and it was amazing. At 11 am they took the thing out and I was dilated to a 4 almost 5. So they broke my water and started Pitocin. I went all day and around 3 am, they had the Pitocin on the highest drip and my daughters heart rate started dipping a little. I finally fell asleep and I woke up around 11:30 am, and a nurse came in and said that since she wasn’t doing well on Pitocin they were going to do a c section. At this point I started to have a panic attack, and I started shaking uncontrollably. They brought me into the OR around 12:30 on Monday the 16th and when they got me into the operating table I felt like I couldn’t breathe due to laying flat, but they gave me oxygen and I was fine and my daughter was born at 1:39pm in 3/16/2020 at 33 weeks 1 day. After she was born my fiancé went with her to the nicu and I passed out and dont remember the rest of the surgery. They immediately took her to the nicu and she was there for 24 days. After the c section I got taken back to labor and delivery to be monitored for 7 hours and i honestly felt so amazing. After the 7 hours I got taken to mother baby, and i Insisted they let me go see my baby. They told me if I can stand up and go to the bathroom and get into the wheelchair I can go see her. So I pushed through the pain and did what they said and got to go see my baby about 10 hours after she was born. I was in the hospital for another 4 days and was able to finally go home. I definitely forgot so much just because of all of the medication but it was crazy and unexpected. My daughter Alice is now 6 weeks old, she was born 3 lbs 12 oz, and is now as of her appointment last Friday 7 lbs. 💕☺️ I’m so glad everything went okay for you guys and Quinn is healthy and happy!

Similar story! Except I was only 23weeks & 2days pregnant. I was extremely swollen, called the doctor and they told me to come in and get checked. My blood pressure was very high and they told me to drive myself to the hospital right way (I know, I’m mad about that now). When I got to the hospital my blood pressure was 211/112. After 2days on magnesium solfate and blood pressure medicine I had to have an emergency c-section. My baby girl Reagan was born only weighing 14.1oz. Thankfully today she is 13 days old and officially weighs 1 pound 🙏🏻 We pray everyday that she continues to do well.

Hiccups ❤️ … thank you for sharing your story. Im watching from my hospital bed, trying my best to educate myself more on my diagnosis. I was hospitalized 5 days ago for severe preeclampsia and I also knew nothing about it. Super confused because I felt perfectly fine and now I’m here having to be monitored and medicated until baby can safely be delivered. Your story gives me hope that my baby and I will be okay even when he’ll arrive early. Thank you again for raising awareness and I’m so glad you and baby girl are doing well

I’m in this current situation right now.. I’m only thirty weeks so they’re keeping me in the hospital until hopefully I can make it to 34 weeks and deliver. The magnesium made me feel the same way, and the betamethazone burned sooo badly! I’m on some blood thinners and bp meds to try to keep me on track! I’m so glad to hear a success story here. Same thing just happened to me. I was almost 33 weeks with twin girls. I also had hellp syndrome and choleostasis of the liver. My liver enzymes were almost 350 and was barely functioning. My Dr. sent me to the hospital and 2 hours later I was having an emergency c section. My twins were 4 11 and 4 15 and are now two weeks old. They are still in the hospital but should be coming home in 1 week when they are 36 weeks. They have done amazingly and I can't wait for them to come home. Preeclampsia is super scary and the mag is the worst! I had to have it 3 times. After my c section I was discharged 3 days later and the next day had to be re-admitted because my blood pressure spiked really high again and I spent 4 more days in the hospital to get it down. I think that there needs to be more awareness about Preeclampsia.

This was literally my birth story just a few months ago. Thank you so much for sharing. I resonated with so many parts of your experience and hearing your story helped normalize my own and bring some validation to what we went through. My daughter was born at 34 weeks at 4 pounds 4 ounces. I had severe preeclampsia and felt totally fine other than some blinking spots in my vision. I went in just to check my blood pressure and thought we’d be going home that night. She was born just a few hours later because my BP was climbing and I wasn’t responding to the meds. I also had protein in my urine. We spent 9 days in the NICU. Whew 😅 it was a rollercoaster but we’re all doing well now praise God.

Just went through what you did last week with my first child/daughter, it also started as a normal. But, I went through it twice cause I had another pre-eclampsia scare a couple months ago, also happened during a routine check up, the first time is when I got the betamethasone shot. I absolutely dreaded the magnesium drip, having to go through it twice was awful lol. But I did like the little leg squeezer things that they put on me, it felt like a constant massage. But, I was scheduled to be induced at 37+5 weeks, however, I ended up being induced at 36+1. The induction failed and ended up getting a C-Section. This pregnancy was filled with so many unexpectancies, but God is good, cause my baby was safely born and very healthy. So happy to have found your channel. Currently binging all your videos lol.

This may be my first comment on KZbin ever! I am so glad I found your video! I search for similar stories to mine every now and then to sort of help with the grief over the whole experience. My little guy was born at 33+2 weighing 2 lb 13 oz. I went into the hospital because I thought I had really bad indigestion that wasn't going away. They diagnosed me with HELLP (I was the opposite, they never actually diagnosed me with preeclampsia...). They tried to induce me but my baby's heart rate started dropping with contractions. Because of the low platelets with HELLP I had to be put under for a c section as well. Thank you so much for sharing your story, it helped me to know that I'm not alone in the world and I know it will help others! My little boy is now almost 8 months old, and though he's still small, he's perfectly healthy and so happy!

My preeclampsia started the same way! Just a routine doctors appointment and no symptoms except high blood pressure. I was 34 weeks and they told me I’d have to be in the hospital until delivery at 37 weeks. Luckily I was able to make it to 36 and 6 days before delivering. But I spent 3 weeks in the hospital angry because I felt fine, and they kept spacing out when my blood pressure was taken since everything remained stable for those 3 weeks. My daughter was born 6 lbs 2 oz and luckily did not have to spend time in the NICU. I’m glad I found your videos, since I’ve spent the last 8 months not knowing anyone who had the issues I did, and kind of feeling alone because of that.

Pretty terrifying. Our boys were born weighing 4lb11oz and 4lb1oz. We spent 2 weeks in hospital. Fully breastfed until they were 2.5years. They are now 15 years old. I've been trying to mentally prepare myself due to past complications and the complications I'm having now and I'm also 10 years older than my last surgery. I have high amniotic fluid and baby is growing fast. They also found protein in my urine my last visit so getting worried about everything. I am 35 weeks, I am however excited and anxious to finally meet our baby girl Charlee Mae. C sections are no joke and are a major surgery. Hey Cara! I never comment on videos but just had to reach out to you…I had the same exact thing happen to me! Completely normal pregnancy (no high blood pressure or even “normal” pregnancy symptoms like you mentioned in the beginning). At 35 weeks, I went in for my normal check up and my blood pressure was raised. Again, just like you, I had no other preeclampsia symptoms. My doctor sent me to the hospital that day and I ended up getting induced and having my son about 28 hours later. What a whirlwind of emotions. He ended up staying in the NICU for 2 weeks. Thank god he’s okay and it looks like Quinn is doing great as well! So happy you’re both okay and thanks for sharing your story 💕

I had HELLP syndrome with my first and luckily it didn’t start til 37 weeks but it came on so suddenly. My bp didn’t go up til 37 weeks and I was having such bad pain in my abdomen that I couldn’t hold down food or water. I went to triage 3 times and they kept telling me it was acid reflux and would send me home. I couldn’t eat or drink for over a week and had bloody noses that would last over 2 hours. I went in for regular apt and barely made it since I was going in and out of consciousness driving to dr. The nurse practitioner sent me straight to ER and my levels were the worst the hospital has ever seen. Apparently I was the talk of the hospital due to my severity. Normal platelets are 150k and mine was 15k and all my organs were failing and I had to get emergency c section under general anesthesia. My husband was at work and barely made it before I delivered. I had get blood transfusion and had to stay 3-4 days in hospital. I’m 38 weeks pregnant now and I’m terrified of getting it again. They put me on aspirin since 12 weeks as precaution and my levels are fine so far but it’s possible to develop it again but it’s not guaranteed so don’t be discouraged on having more kids due to your experience. Each pregnancy is different. Your baby is beautiful btw and you are a super mom and have a great story to tell her when she is older lol

My birth story is very similar! I went in for a routine check at 28 weeks and ended up going to labor and delivery. Never had high blood pressure and while I had preeclampsia I showed 0 symptoms. I had a c-section because my placenta wasn’t working too well. Baby is growing well now in the NICU. Preeclampsia is scary! Literally never heard about it until a few weeks ago when I had to deliver.

Hiccups! Loved hearing your story and love you two together, you are a beautiful team/family. I had my 37 weeks appointment thinking all was well too and from there I was admitted and induced and delivered my baby at 1am. He was fine and more ready than I was! I also had no clue about anything that was happening. Now I’m almost 27 weeks and constantly monitoring my BP seeing it be okay, then spike. I’m drinking dandelion tea and it’s bringing it down. Praying I can deliver a full term baby at home. Pray for me. Due May 27th 2022 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Hi, your birth story took me back 19 years to the birth of my daughter. She was born in the 32nd week of pregnancy, because during a doctor's examination I had eclampsia. I had an emergency c-section and my daughter was born premature. I saw her a day and a half after giving birth because I was in intensive care for 24 hours after giving birth. My daughter stayed in the hospital for another three weeks, after three weeks we took her home. Thanks for sharing your story

Hiccups. So glad you all are better. I'm sure it was very scary. My sister had the same thing and the blood pressure meds made her angry, got and she had a really bad headache. So bad that she was tested for a brain bleed. Happy to say she is fine now and my niece is now a mother herself. Both of my nieces deliveries were unmedicated and so smooth. I told my sister had to been God's way of making up for her awful delivery. Stay safe and congrats on a beautiful baby girl.

Hey there, my mom had pre aclampsia with me. I was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 pound 12 ounces. Back in 1984, the doctors weren’t that familiar with it but she had all of the symptoms you mentioned. She gained like 10 pounds in a week. I love watching your videos and seeing your sweet girl thrive and grow!!

Hiccups! I stayed to the end! Your birth story was so interesting to me. When I had my first child in 1976 I went into preterm labor at 7 months. At the hospital they gave me intravenous alcohol (I know...strange) to try and stop my labor. I think I dilated to 2cm. They decided the alcohol wasn't working and stopped giving to me. Luckily I quit dilating on my own. I was sent home on complete bed rest. Ugh! At 8 months I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia and was back in the hospital for a few days. Obviously it wasn't a bad case. I was still on complete bed rest and delivered him at 39 weeks and he was a healthy 5 lb. 3 oz. boy! I went on to have two more children and didn't have any issues during my pregnancies. So next time you might be just fine. Quinn is beautiful and you two are so blessed to have her and so happy to hear Cara is fine. It's truly amazing what our bodies go through to bring life into this world. Prayers and hugs to your little family.

Hiccups 😉 I am so thankful everyone is okay! I had severe preeclampsia for both of my babies that resulted in preemies and emergency c sections, too. We are praying that God will open up the door for more kids in the future. I feel in my heart that our family is not complete yet, but there's also a big risk involved. It sounds like you definitely had a severe case and I'm so glad you were able to come through it all okay! I know preeclampsia can take a toll on you mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally, but God doesn't make mistakes and your sweet Quinn was meant to be here when she arrived! I hope you have comfort and peace in the road ahead. I met with a mfm to talk about options for another pregnancy, and there are definitely ways to minimize the severity or delay the onset if you also hope for more. Congratulations to your precious family! I'm a new sub, but happy to follow your channel! Thanks for sharing your story!! ❤

I was diagnosed the week 31 with no symptoms but high blood pressure and some protein in the urine. I passed 1 week in hospital feeling myself pretty good, I had before a dream pregnancy as you did. My boy is still at NICU , possibly will be discharged this week if no bradys. Thanks for sharing your story!

Same thing just happened to me. I was almost 33 weeks with twin girls. I also had hellp syndrome and choleostasis of the liver. My liver enzymes were almost 350 to start and was barely functioning. I did have symptoms though. I felt so sick for days leading up to my drs appointment when I had labs done and they tested my liver function. I literally felt like I was dying. My Dr. sent me to the hospital and 2 hours later I was having an emergency c section. After my c section I was discharged 3 days later and the next day had to be re-admitted because my blood pressure spiked really high again and I spent 4 more days in the hospital to get it down and I am still on 2 diffetent blood pressure meds. I think that there needs to be more awareness about Preeclampsia. It is really hard to process everything that happened and work through it emotionally. I just kept hoping that I wouldn't die and leave my husband to raise our now 6 children alone.

I had an emergency c section as well but for different reason I was almost 41 weeks pregnant and my baby didn’t want to come out. I was induced and in labor for 3 days and they tried didn’t ways to get be to go into labor finally they started pition on the second day but the pitocin was dropping my baby’s heart rate, then they stopped to give me oxygen and tried again they had to stop because again her heart rate was dropping they rushed the doctor over and they told me they had 30 mins to start cutting me to save my baby. That was the short story but before that I was in the hospital for kidney infections because of my pregnancy and I know you said you felt fine but I felt like I didn’t feel fine my whole pregnancy but I’m glad I have my baby girl. No matter how scary it was I don’t regret what happened because that’s the only way I could have my precious baby 💕 but I’m glad I just meet you and just subscribe and I’m extremely happy you and baby Quinn are doing great, such a great momma 💕

So interesting to watch a different but similar experience. My son was born at 33 weeks and 3 days, I had a partial placental abruption due to a blood pressure spike (apparently) was bedridden for a week on bp meds until I stopped responding to them.. before the c section I was 180 over 120 after birth I was 210 over 120... my son had a true knot in his cord, a two vessel cord and it was wrapped around his neck 3lbs 5oz was his weight and he was in the NICU for almost 6 weeks.. he’s now 7 years old, 15 lbs over the average weight and 4 inches taller than the average height, things get so much better hang tight mama. 7 years later I’m now 29 weeks and 3 days with my second and final child.

Hiccups! I’m glad everything worked out for you! How scary! About 1/3 of the way through, i was thinking this doesn’t sound like classic preeclampsia! I agree with the nurses about HELLP. So, I had postpartum hypertension after I had my son. My body just would not let go of fluid after I gave birth, and I stared having massive headaches which prompted me to go to the ER. I did not have protein in my urine, but I did have deep tendon reflexes plus the headaches plus the swelling and very high blood pressure! I received Magnesium and in 24 hours I was good to go. This was 3.5 years ago. I’m pregnant again, 37 weeks, and I’m so worried it’s going to happen again, but I’m so glad I know what to look for ahead of time.

I went in at 40w and my bp was over 170/120 or something crazy (this was back in sept). I think the top number got to 199 at some point 💀 diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, I was on magnesium, fluids, pitocin, etc. and 30 hours later, and after pushing for 1.5 hours, our son finally came. I've had pre e twice, with my first and fifth. (my preemie was actually just a spontaneous PROM and came at 33 weeks too!). I'm expecting baby 6 now, and I'm so nervous about my appointments because my last two have been over the phone 🤦🏾‍♀️, so I'm not getting my BP checked regularly or anything right now. I don't see my midwife in person again until 28 weeks. I'm 21 now. Trying not to worry, but this story sounds so similar to my last pregnancy, which I didmake it to 38 weeks (praise God). I came in and it was 160/120 (which I felt nothing!), and I was induced about 8 hours later. Pre e is SNEAKY, and I'm glad they caught it early in your pregnancy, and that baby girl appears healthy and okay, and you also are recovering. Be well!

It’s crazy how similar our stories are. It was my 3rd time to have preeclampsia but first time it was severe enough to be on the magnesium. I felt completely fine but my blood pressure was 210/115...all the meds they gave me wouldn’t work, i ended up with the worst headache I’ve ever had. You’re not lying when you say those shots hurt. I wanted to jump off the bed when she gave it to me lol. I didn’t think the second hurt as bad but maybe because I knew what to expect. My son was born at 32+3 days and was 4 pounds. They even said that was small. My stomach hurt really bad too. It was more upper right abdomen which I found out was part of the preeclampsia. When they finally decided to do the c-section, so many people came in and ripping things off the wall. I was awake for mine but I don’t remember much other than feeling like I needed to throw up. It’s so scary how fast it can come on. Praying you won’t have to go through that with any other pregnancies.

I have heart problems so they wanted me to have a c section early but my water broke at home 2 days before the scheduled csection. I had to be put under as well and my husband wasn't allowed in there either. I was put on the cardiac floor while my daughter went to NICU because she was holding her breath and couldn't hold her temp. My husband had to split time between the two of us. Thank you for sharing your story! It is good that the docs ran all the necessary tests. Such a blessing that everything turned out well! I had preeclampsia too...I was at my 38 week appt...the doc told me to have a light lunch before going to the hospital. I had all the blood tests done and the doc was going to send me home, but then found out that I had high levels of protein. The next morning, I had a C-section because my son and I were having a bad reaction to the pain medicine. Hiccups!

My daughter has undiagnosed HEELP with first pregnancy. Complained of right upper abdominal pain for last 6 weeks and severe swelling, no hypertension. Had full term stillborn. Placenta abruption. That's when liver enzymes were found to be elevated and decreased platelets . So glad that staff was alert eventhough you did not present typically.

I'm glad you and the baby were safe and they caught it in time! My mom had that with my sister.I was young but I clearly remember that she was at the doctor for a regular appointment and then next thing I knew my dad told me was going to the hospital. The next day she had a c section.Everything was ok but it was scary!

My niece lost her baby at 29 weeks with HELLP Syndrome which is a severe form of Preeclampsia. We almost lost her too. It’s too dangerous for her to have children now....she now has a 9 month old, Caroline who they adopted right at birth. You were in a very scary situation. I’m so happy your story ended better!!! 🥰. Oh my gosh! I just got to the part about HELLP Syndrome!! My Lord, you are blessed!!!

Hypertension is very scary. I was diagnosed at 8 years old with kidney atrophy. My left kidney was atrophic and the excess renin caused sever hypertension. I ended up having surgery - 6 days after vigerous testing at St Christopher's Hospital in Philly. When they found the atrophic kidney, this was at 8 years old. I am 24 now and I still have hypertension. I've been on BP medication for many many years and I have a very high chance of getting preeclampsia during pregnancy. Hypertension is a serious issue that SO MANY people have. I am glad that you are healthy and baby is okay. It's always funny to hear people talk about high blood pressure like it's no big deal, and they have no idea what it is and how dangerous it can be. At no point where any of the doctors being rash or overreacting. The reason they did not want you to drive is because hypertension that severe can cause you to have a stroke.

This is a reminder for us pregnant women to educate ourselves. If you have pre eclampsia you could start having seizures if not treated. This is why you shouldn't drive if you've been told this.

I had high blood pressure when I was 10, I went on a med for it when I was 14. My blood pressure was 150/85 which for a kid is totally not normal. It’s very dangerous for blood pressure to be high. It can cause blood vessels to break down and just so many other things that are not good. My mom had preeclampsia and helps syndrome with my brother at 28 weeks and her blood pressure while being on bed rest was 212/110. She and my brother could’ve died if my brother wasn’t born.

Hi guys, I did stay until the video was finished. 😅 I happen to me at my first time pregnant. Preeclampsia is a high blood pressure complication that if is not treated it can be fatal. In my case the doctor find out that I was experiencing it cause one of my fingers in my right hand was numb and also I was gaining weight. He put me on diet and I lose almost 10 pounds , so my oldest son came in right at 39 weeks. So glad everything is just fine with Quinn and you. Sending all my love and blessings. You’re a beautiful and loved couple. Stay safe, strong and always blessed ❤️🙏🏻🌹

I was diagnosed with severe pre-eclampsia at 30 weeks and had to be induced at 31 weeks and 1 day. It was seriously the longest hospital stay in have ever had to endure. My son stayed in NICU almost 7 weeks before he was able to come home. That was back in 2018. I'm currently 18 weeks and I'm praying that I do not develop pre-eclampsia again
