I working in translational medical science and I’ve given many a tube of blood for research. However, I know I’m a difficult donor so once I’ve found someone (usually a nurse) who can drain my arm, I stick with them. But it can vary appointment to appointment, and one week the blood is basically gushing out without the tourniquet, the next time I’m as dry as a desert and my good vein is nowhere to be found. So don’t worry about a bad blood draw, or forgetting a step (the nurse and I thought I didn’t need a plaster once, but the blood decided to spout everywhere and I had a multicolour bruise for a week). Even people with drainpipes for veins have bad days (especially if they have come off a night shift with only a sniff of fluids and a couple of stolen nurses station biscuits in the entire 12 hours)

Hi Faye! Fun fact: when honey touches metal, it loses its nutritious enzymes! That's why honey rollers/scoopers are wooden 😊

Typically if you’re scooping or stirring with metal, the contact is so brief that no damage is done to the enzymes. Honey rollers/scoopers are wooden because they are traditionally stored inside of the honey for long periods of time. No need for concern if the metal spoon isn’t being left inside the container!

I've used Purdy n Figg. Just buy the oils mix with water but shake well before use. I use Lavender oil as laundry freshener too

I agree on the food delivery service. It’s easier to plan some meals around your kitchen essentials and regulars and not buy random stuff that caught your eye and don’t actually constitute a meal. And if you want to try something new, you can get someone else to hunt down the unusual ingredients or seasonings 😂. Plus I don’t have a car atm so I would buy as much as I carry but it’s almost impossible to stock up unless I do a few trips in the week. After work, I just want to have my dinner and go to sleep and not have to worry about going to the shops and then forget half the things I need as I’m not in my kitchen double checking

Doctors can do an ultrasound to find the artery for an ABG?!?!?! A doctor tried to take mine 50 I'm not exaggerating 50 ! times without success it took over 45 minutes, I fainted twice from the pain and he only stopped when he hit or severed something important and my whole hand went numb and I had pins and needles for months! I still have nerve damage and cannot extend my arm fully. His senior then came and managed to find it after 3 tries on my other hand. They could have used an ULTRASOUND and they decided to just keep poking around
