I use Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight and Gaia the Magical Knight as level 7’s. Alongside a new Gaia called Gaia the Fierce Knight Origin that can discard any level 5 or higher to special summon itself. Use 3 blue knight butterspy and 1 instant fusion help to get out your three warriors. Use the two level fours to go into Isolde then into chaos soldier to also get soul in the gy. If you have the field spell search with it and soul then ritual summon the soldier you discarded to summon Gaia Origin. End on the Link, the Ritual, and Envoy of the Beginning if he was in hand. Isolde also got you Envoy of Chaos for your opponents turn. I also add in some chaos cards like Chaos Daedalus, Chaos Creator and Chaos space for fun. Add whatever hand traps you like.

I tried the Gaia monsters but they slowed down my OTK focused build. Instead, i play Impcantations and the O.G. BLS ritual because he's searchable, a Trade-In target and can still be summoned from grave with Synthesis. I also play 3x Gale Dogra to pitch Heralds from the extra deck for searches or for N'Tss to get rid of cards.

@@phantom_mist1726 You're welcome! I recently took out the one copy of the O.G. BLS vanilla and replaced it with the Legendary Swordmaster BLS, since it does the same for the deck. However, he has additional effects like reveal him and adding a ritual spell from your deck by giving up your normal draw this turn, which can become quite handy in this deck AND his on-field effect doesn't allow your opponent to activate cards/effects during your battle phase. It is still an OCG exclusive card though.

If you make a Black Luster Soldier deck with Chaos Emperor Dragon Envoy of the End you should label the deck box as Dragoon or Highwind because the Black Luster Soldier looks just like Kain Highwind from Final Fantasy IV. Seriously I wonder if anyone has ever noticed that?

Thought: I know Instant Fusion is useful to bring another rank 4 for the ritual summon, but what if you used Millennium Eyes Restrict along with one of the Gaia cards for the ritual? levels equal exactly 8, and it would allow you to succ a monster from THEIR field before ritualling them off, sending their monster to the GY at the same time? Might not be as reliable as the Karbonala, but im trying to think of a way to make more use out of Instant Fusion than just that one specific situation.

So you are running two envoy of chaos? One in the absence of a twilight evening knight and another shown besides the super soldier ritual? I’m just trying to build this exact deck in legacy of the duelist link evolution but I do have 3 evening twilight knight. Also what card can I add if I don’t have instant fusion at the moment? I have every single card except that one.

There is a problem : soul of soldier's effect only works with the ritual monster black luster soldier (the classic one) but not with the ritual black luster soldier : super soldier (already checked in master duel). So you need to add one classic black luster soldier to use soul of soldier.

yea you get the ritual but you still have another player to play against. those traps are usless. what do you do with isolde on the field and linkuribo. why not turn them into a negate or pop. can you show some games next time.

I wish the Gaia monsters support BLS better, but the tributing cost is so restrictive considering they are 1) lvl 7 so they are inconvenient to use as ritual material and 2) They eat up a whole normal summon. They need to add in a new Gaia card that does the following: Special summons itself if you control a "Gaia the Fierce Knight" card. Quick Effect: you can tribute one "Gaia the Fierce Knight" card on the field or in your hand, special summon a "Gaia the Fierce Knight" card from your deck. You can only activate this cards effect once per turn. This way we can actual use the effects of the charging and arisen Gaia and maintain some sort of field presence too. Until then the Gaia's just feel like glorified beatsticks.

Gaia the Fierce Knight Origin is a level 4 Gaia that can send any level 5 or higher to the GY to special summon its self, use it alongside Lord Gaia and any lvl 4 knight to go into Isolde then, super soldier soul, then Chaos soldier.

@@julianadams3710 yeah you could do that... But none of the cards actually support the chaos soldier or vice versa. Also you have to discard to special summon the origin so that's 4 cards spent from the hand to get a chaos soldier on the field and a mini knight in hand.... Discarding Gaia monster suck because they don't do anything in the grave. Lord Gaia and Origin might maybe be good if they were light or dark, but they neglected to make that a thing rip.

@@derekday3896 you discard super soldier since he can be summoned from the GY. You search him out with the field spell then after the link you use the field spell to search the ritual. You end on the link and the ritual. You can also summon Envoy of the beginning if you have him because theirs a light and dark in the GY. You also have envoy of chaos for your opponents turn from Isolde. It’s not the best but it gets you three soldiers that can banish three monsters per turn, a card from the hand, and two of them can attack twice.

I play a faster OTK version of this and even this is just mediocre when you don't play any interruptions. It is pretty consistent though.

@@EJ-yz8lx I replaced it with Moon Mirror Shield. It's a different equip spell. Whenever the equipped monster enters battle, their attack and defense become the same as the monster they are battling's highest stat plus an extra 100 until combat ends. So for example, if you equipped it to a Beginning Knight, and that Beginning Knight was attacked by a Blue Eyes White Dragon, his attack and defense would become 3100 until combat ends. Basically, you win any fight as long as there's no sneaky effects going on in the background. When the card is destroyed, you lose 500 life points, but you get to choose whether it goes on the top or bottom of your deck, so you have the option of getting it back next turn if you really need it. Far from a perfect replacement, but I've gotten some decent use out of it.

Magnum Shield is a great warrior specific equip that makes BLS a 5500 body and the lvl 4 knights a 2500 body, but it can’t banish the little knights so it loses some utility.

Yeah honestly I feel like Link Monsters actually take the fun outta most decks, because almost 100% every deck uses them. I don't like using them unless they provide some kinda support to whatever decks I'm using at the time, but that's just me
