Feel the same way. No judgement, just kind of wild, really.
@Rurik_Luci11 ай бұрын
@@WinchesterxNL I mean in Europe your land predators are in Scandinavia and Russia. You don't have much chance of a 90kg cat jumping you. Your brown bear population is all in the north and east. I'm maybe an hour from them and an hour the other way from that city of half a million. Most of the venomous snakes snakes are in parts of France (good) or the east. Europeans just don't have to deal with nature like Americans (mostly because you destroyed it all) but within 200km, I have 40+ breeds of venomous snakes, 800kg bears, 90kg cats, 150kg bears, 20kg cats, wolves, and coyotes. All of which can have rabies. But the most dangerous animal of all the 7/11 crackhead is still wild here.
@WinchesterxNL11 ай бұрын
@@Rurik_Luci Where I live, the Netherlands. We do have some dangerous animals here still. Wolves are becoming more common again, we have a snake which I'm not sure what the English name for it is. The Dutch name is the Adder. Which I think is a Viper? Though do feel free to correct me if you know the better name for it. Boars are also still a thing that can be dangerous too. Sure they're not like the bears, wildcats, cougars (and not the sultry 40+ year old kind, we have those as well) coyotes or anything else. And it's not so much that we killed them all or anything, we do have quite a huge nature reservation law here. We just make sure those areas are closed off for humans. It's a different approach, but for us it seems to work. Not sure how effective that will be to the 7/11 crackhead though. Those haven't been around here, from my experience. At least I haven't seen one in the wild yet. Some alcoholics or other junkies, sure. But they tend to hide in their own shelters, they're mostly harmless. I get needing guns and such. Don't get me wrong. I fully understand that the US can be quite dangerous, especially in the wilderness (or the suburbs even.) It's sometimes just a bit wild to see all of that in comparison. Since your second amendment isn't something that's quite a thing here. And a lot of other areas that do also have gun regulations in the US are in major cities, which have little to no wildlife. But people still feel the need to carry (concealed, open, doesn't matter) to have a genuine feeling of safety. Because "what if the robber pulls a gun on me." when over here, being robbed is not going to happen with a gun, in most cases it would be with a knife or something like it. And even if a gun was present, hardly anyone here would consider pulling a trigger. There's this difference. As for shooting ranges or something, I believe that there's a total of 50 here in the Netherlands? I might even be highballing that. Though I'm no expert in any case. Lol. There's just a sheer difference. And it's sometimes pretty wild to see. As I'm sure you'll also have a few things you'd think is pretty wild as well that we might do that's not common in the US.
@Gakoranus7 ай бұрын
@@Rurik_Luci This is some high level fucking trolling holy shit. You carry a gun so that you can shoot someone. Against a mountain lion or other large wild animal an American would do something smart like putting proper measures in place to avoid confrontation, respecting physical boundaries, maintaining clear lines of sight and exit routes and of course having a set of de-escalation techniques in reserve.

The Ruger mk4 is an absolute dream range plinker. As someone who grew up with firearms, I’ve had a .22lr gun in my collection since the beginning and the Ruger mk4 replaced all of them. It’s great to practice with and get comfortable with pistols. People really underestimate how hard it can be to shoot accurately with a pistol so it’s important to put a lot of time in and get used to it. Shame we don’t get to see your actual EDC, I can understand why though. Btw I think it’s awesome you showed a firearm in the video. I saw a couple people down here complaining about it and cringing but I think it’s awesome. Lots of people don’t know what it’s like to A. Be attacked and B. Have something to lose from that attack.
