I was once in Sophie's position in my life.I was doing grade 11,situation at home was horrible to a point that we didnt even have a bed me and my sibling shared old old mattress.Friends and family member didn't have nothing to offer but sympathy.I was working for my class teacher every Friday afternoon but that wasn't enough as it came once a week and it was very little money.I dated a sugar daddy to take myself out of the situation got to varsity with that money.If it doesn't hurt anyone Sophie can go for it but she needs to know her goal.I am not saying it is right but as for someone who has been in a similar situation she can go but she needs to focus on her goals.Lucky for Sophie she has friends the only thing that they can do for her is to show love and support.Thanks Guys great content

If you think about it,she's in High School and is involved with the Blesser man to take care of her mom,why isn't the mother concern about where does she get the money to take care of her,be it medication,food,transport,or whatever...but at the end i have respect for Sophie for trying to make ends meets. I concur with the lady that said “we need to learn to hold men to a higher standard” If a teenage boy was in a relationship with an older women because she helps him with the funds to take care of his family, we’d shame that woman for not ‘caring enough’ to start a ‘go-fund-me’ campaign or offering some sort of more dignified assistance to this boy-child upon learning about his circumstances. Why can’t we hold this man, who is himself a parent, to the same standard? As for how complicated the situation has become with the pregnancy, shu! I think having a blesser is a choice that some choose to and some find other ways to find money. in most cases people with blessers are afraid of status quo or how people will see them if they try other ways of living other than sleeping with an old man. i am from Zimbabwe i live in a society where not many people are privileged as most would know the situation in our country, but in all honestly you find girls selling sweets, being maids and doing all sorts of low end jobs just to make ends meet. i believe life isn't black and white also but most people choose bad and try defend it because they see other ways of looking for money beneath them, which is ironic because having a blesser is worse. having a sick mom is not a paranormal for struggling people, it happens but wise young women don't let men extort them but they show their feminism by standing for them selves do whats right by them and their bodies. and i am a guy who a feminist but every time i hear these stories i always ask myself how are we supposed to work around this double standard of girls fighting for rights yet letting in extortion in such ways.

The most affected person here is the young girl child. She finds herself in a position where she has to adult out of nowhere and even so at extreme levels. Let us not forget that she is a child, a strong one at that because even an adult could have bowed out by now in such a situation. If i could advise baby girl is that she look at this situation in the spiritual and not the natural. She needs miraculous changes in all areas of her life. It may sound impractical given the circumstances but there is nothing that beats being in God, seeking him, his love and his help all throughout. I'm a guy but i can relate somewhat. I had to dropout and start paying bills with an unemployed single mom so i'm speaking from experience. Find a balance without compromising yourself and who you are. God will help.

I can understand how one would go to the extremes in desperate times, especially for your mother. But I also believe that a person's character is defined in those desperate times, no matter how desperate you are, you still have a choice between good and bad. We can justify the reasons but we as girls still need to love ourselves. I really am trying to sympathize with Sophie but I'm sure there are ways of helping your mom without selling your body and I'm also sure your mom would not rejoice at hearing the means. With that being said, I think the truth should be said, not to shame Sophie but to show this man's true colors, he's a predator taking advantage of a vulnerable and desperate young girl, and that is even worse.

@@DEFINING It genuinely just happened hey. I had no control of it in the moment. B has a point. Instant gratification has serious long term effects. As much as I sympathize with the girl: 1. Doesn't she have support from other family members? 2. Can't she raise awareness towards her situation and try to get donations from those around her? Sure it might start off with little money in comparison to what she gets from the blesser, but it's still something and it may enlarge as time goes by. I just don't like the fact that she has to subject herself to something like this. Old habits become repetitive behaviour as you get older. Now for the blesser: 1. He shouldn't even be prancing around looking for little girls to have a good time with while he's married. His loyalty is towards his family. I just hate it when people feel the need to cheat instead of ending the relationship altogether. This is just the beginning of how family ties form and next thing you know the daughter/mother will find themselves in similar cycles (attracted to men who cheat) because it's what they're exposed to without even realizing it. 2. Why can't he just offer help without gaining anything out of it?🤦‍♀️ 3. Unnecessary pain is being caused and it's really disappointing.
