My Bone Head Mistake Towing My Chevy Spark

2 yr old vid but another reason to disconnect the battery is the “Traction/Stability Control”. I’ve read if there’s power and you make some tight radius turns towing it can interpret that as slippage and try to correct it via the ABS module. This can ruin the ABS and or your brakes. My brother has a neighbor who almost caught his towed Jeep on fire for the same reason. FYI

Be sure to disconnect that negative battery cable. It will lock the theft device on the car, if you don't. You will love the spark, pulls great.

I’m gonna get a pull behind trailer for my Chevy spark for up and I’ll just drive it onto the platform and secure it put it in park and shut it down like if it was on the street that should work I could even disconnect the battery if needed.

It probably was the stress of it all. Yes I think we should disconnect the battery’s always and what we should do is put them up on a regular vehicle trailer and then you got the lights the brake lights on the trailer you got the turn signals on the trailer the car is dead. It’s just being transported all four wheels up on the trailer.

It says the only way you can tow that flat is if you have a four-speed automatic transmissions have to be for wheels up so that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna buy a more expensive trader of course but I will have all four wheels up. The CVT transmission will be damaged. If you go over 50 miles with the Chevy spark on the ground and that would work the same for the Honda’s. I’ve got a Toyota says same thing if it has a CVT transmission it’s got to be four wheels up.

What year is ur spark? I have a 2013. Manuel. Want to flat tow. So u just unhook battery and leave car in neutral? Steering wheel locked??

Mine is a 2020 Manuel steering does not lock on this one. Just unhook negative on battery. Check your owners manual it should tell you how to flat tow.
