I wouldn't get fillers. Don't jump on trends. I thought about it for a good time in my life, but I always waited to see what the repercussions are and there it is......botched, makes you look WAY older than you are and there are so many reasons not to. Its a good thing for older people, possibly, but young? You all getting these procedures are falling for media standards and getting used for easy money. This is what they wanted.

Thank you so much for recognizing things that so many struggle with. Don’t feel so burdened as if it’s all your fault, because it’s not. Those people were telling you to change and you felt like you had to. It takes a strong person to realize how gaslit they have been by others to the point that they gaslight themselves. I highly appreciate this perspective of things and I hope you are heard.

You know Gabbie, this video will help a lot of people. It sure helped me a lot. Recently, I was at my first consultation for a nose correction and I caught myself trying to justify the risks of going blind or losing my nose to necrosis, to a point where I realized that the usually rational human being in me just vanished so quickly because I wanted to look a certain way to everybody else. Your video made me cancel my next appointment, and I will honor my nose because it shows my heritage and family history. Thank you, G.

A phrase that has REALLY worked for me and my self-confidence is: "Yup, I look like a normal human." On my good days and my bad days, remembering I'm human and made in the image of God despite whatever "imperfections" I think I see has been really reassuring for me as I get older.
@TheGabbieShowАй бұрын
oh I love that
@FlorDL904Ай бұрын
Perfected faces tend to look "uncanny valley" bc no human face is perfect. They look beautiful but they don't make you feel comfortable and humanly connected, especially when the facial gestures are affected and non verbal communication is compromised. Imperfect faces are human faces that make vulnerable human conections (obviously is not that extreme there are levels but yk what I mean)

The war on ageing is insane to me. Welcome back,Gabbie! You look amazing 💜
@Abby-ug4xcАй бұрын
No the war on aging makes perfect sense - aging is not only cosmetic, it ultimately causes suffering and death. But the fight shouldn't have anything to do with plastic surgery. Just health & fitness, and real medical treatments when necessary
@en2336Ай бұрын
@@Abby-ug4xc why is death a bad thing? You are looking at life from a narrow minded perspective
@dot4562Ай бұрын
ageing is a privilege. not everybody gets to grow old, so we should be thankful for every day we have on this beautiful planet
@Abby-ug4xcАй бұрын
@@dot4562 Absolutely! And we're blessed to have the love and wisdom of older folks who are still around. Which is why the physical process of aging- arthritis, sarcopenia, hearing and eyesight loss, digestive issues, pain of all kinds, memory loss... that aspect of aging is not a blessing. I think the vast, vast majority of older folks would take back their younger, healthier bodies if they could. How many elderly do you think refuse medical treatment because they hold the philosophy "aging is a privilege"? Not many, I'd imagine.
@Abby-ug4xcАй бұрын
@@en2336 To me, as someone who loves life and being alive and does not believe in the afterlife, death is the ultimate bad thing. Most sentient creatures have a drive to live. Absent physical or mental illness, or an incredibly lacklustre environment, why would one want to die?

You have never looked more beautiful. Happiness and confidence really does radiate physically through people's faces, but also causes them to make fashion or aesthetic choices that look so much better. You can tell when people have something unresolved within themselves because they want to hide from themselves and don't want to recognize themselves in the mirror.

I understand getting procedures done for things you're insecure about but for drs to constantly suggest to change parts of your face is sooooo unacceptable. I don't think they should be giving their unwillingly opinions on COSMETIC surgery.
@TheSwauzzАй бұрын
To be fair, medical doctors are not supposed to do that per their code of ethics. Cosmetic surgery places get around this by have techs give suggestions or just simply break their code. Be wary of pop up cosmetic procedure places too, where faked medical licenses run rampant. To add--ANY doctor/surgeon suggesting something you are even remotely "uhhh I don't know" about, get a new doctor/surgeon. Even if you are someone overly anxious, there is a doctor out there who is actually going to make you feel comfortable with any decision.

This is absolutely the climax of acknowledgement, understanding, empathy, apology and actual comprehension of how damaging false ideals can be. How easy it is to be lured into those traps and lose yourself, and more importantly... come back. Her attention to detail, noticing these things after the fact and rather then leaving them as noticed, to understand what they mean, the positives and negatives and more importantly acknowledging the damage done is not only uplifting to a viewer on a platform but a true informer to the growth of the creator posting this. I commend you Gabbie. She is always talking about how old she is looking, how ugly she is and how she was the ugly duckling in the family of 5 sisters and currently gets Botox and fillers for things. She always points out features she hates about herself. Funny enough, people always say I am her TWIN. You said something in here that sparked my brain to say “she is always talking down about her looks, but if I look like her, am I ugly? Why does she think I’m pretty but not herself?” That’s why I sent her this. Thank you for this. Thank you for sharing your experience and your truth because we definitely can all relate. P.S. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY YOU GOT THE NECK TATTOO. Let me tell you, I never noticed any “tendrils” until you pointed them out. You were beautiful at every point in between each one of those procedures, but you’re a diamond shining now in confidence and beauty and I can see you believe it, too. I think this is genuinely my favorite video of yours to date. I’ve been angry at you, worried for you, happy for you etc, but this one gives me such a sense of relief that you’re finally able to see what I and so many other people have seen in you. And of course your beauty is one of those things, but the thing I’m specifically talking about is your insecurities. Being able to see your insecurities is not simply looking in the mirror and recognizing what you don’t like about yourself, but realizing that those insecurities you see are not only self inflicted. Realizing the damage those insecurities that others project onto you do not define your beauty. And most importantly, realizing that despite there being tens, or thousands or even millions of people who tell you you’re not beautiful, there are billions of people on this planet. And even if each and every one of the people on planet earth said that you need to change something about the way you look in order to get their validation, none of them are YOU.

Love love love this 🩷 I always knew you would find this confidence and self love. I’m so sorry for what you went through, but we always come out a better version of ourselves when we go through hardships 🥰 so proud of you for coming out the other side

I’ve been thinking about lip fillers for a while this video alone has just made me realise that I don’t need it, my lips are made perfect for my face, and changing anything is unnecessary! ❤ loving this version of you! Thankyou!

Gabbie I’m so happy that you are better, that you’ve come to peace with your looks. Honestly it made me kinda sad when you made the video about nose filler cause I never understood why people feel so comfortable to point out your nose just cause it’s not what they are used to. As you said, features that give you character, uniqueness of it, that’s what makes us beautiful.

This made me cry. as I struggle with PCOS and weight staring at myself in the mirror picking myself apart became so natural. This just really made me feel seen and really encourages the whole "be kinder to yourself and treat yourself as your bestfriend" mentality we should all have. Thank you Gabbie
