I completely understand the relief of the husband being passed away because i almost went through the same with my dad my love for him was strong but there was no love for the things he did in life from abusing my mom, to abusing me, he could never be wrong or told how to correctly do something because it was always a fight. The lies, manipulation, and aggression was severe. Even the drug abuse that didn’t help at all and the refusal to take care of himself. I don’t like that he suffered but I’m also relieved that i no longer have to carry anxiety and fear around.

My husband and I bought our house before we married (we knew we were going to get married, we just prioritised a house for our family because of the rental crisis). We're now happily married but turns out in australia there are some things you just can't change your name that easily on. We would have to reapply for our home loan to change my name on the documents so I guess this house is just forever under my maiden name. Waiting to do these things until after marriage is definitely easier for those reasons.

I'm from Colombia and the "dry humping" thing is just how you dance reguetón. It is normal here as it is to dance very close to each other when you dance bachata or salsa or merengue. Once one gringo told me he would consider that cheating but I think for most people here it's not.
