One of the darkest times in my life was when I found out my brother (dealing with long unchecked mental illnesses and a drug problem) put hands on our mom. When I found out from my step dad I threatened I'd be coming after him and not a damn thing would stop me! I thank God my brother is almost 3 years sober, he is a amazing boyfriend to his amazing loving girlfriend who I know helps keep him straight, and we were finally able to talk about everything like adults several years down the road. But yeah that's my stand point on it. I don't know how she even believed him over her own family when she admitted he hasn't done ANYTHING for her!

Young and dumb oh how I remember those days. I had alot of regrets from my teens up into my 20s. I no longer have any because I wouldn't have the life I have now had I done it any different. I'm now a firm believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I went from being a pill head to a heroin addict. Had my sons father tried to kill me and he ended up with 15 years. My husband came into my troublesome life while I still couldnt walk for 8 months. He has been my rock and got me thru one of the darkest times in my life. I like Steve. Only he's toned it down quite a bit over the years. When he first started his show, he'd get in the face of abusers a lot more and challenge and provoke them. He still occasionally does that but not like he used to. I always loved watching Steve get in the face of the abusive pricks, practically begging them to take a swing at him.
