I think my first Sims build experience was a reno of one of the Spellcaster house. I made it into this apartment complex which probably looked worse than the original. But my first start from scratch build was NOT a house. I think it was a cemetery/mausoleum but it wasn't any good. 😅

Yeah, me too, I still don't put much clutter, which is kinda a waste cause there's a lot of cute stuff to put around the house, I usually even forget to add the toilet paper rolls, it's a good thing the sims don't actually need toilet paper or else they would be waving their arms complaining while sitting on the toilet with a toilet paper roll in their speech bubble.

I like clutter in builds, but I don't have the patience to raise things up and move things around to freely place them without having them clipping or not. Like nothing clips on shelves and half the time when I play, things glitch out and end up in my family's inventory (mostly with Dream Home stuff)

Favorite part: putting the open cereal box and snacks next to the gaming computer. I can't believe you gave MOO to a 1st time builder with no concept of how the items work! Plus the size up-down used on furniture. I love the results, and it's a very pretty build. It just has a big warning: don't let your Sims live here or they'll float when they try to sit down, if they can use some items at all. (I can see some nice scenes actually, giving it some thought.) Please have your boyfriend come back and do a video again sometime! He's got a good wit. I hope you really did have a good holiday with nice moments.

This is actually quite good! When I saw the title I thought it would be a disaster, but you can tell he'd be very skilled if he had the want to stick with building in the Sims. He clearly worked hard creating a functional space while also trying to make sure colors and vibes matched. Way better than a lot of people can do, some folks just don't have an eye for it at all.

It looks quite good actually, you even put a lot of decor items that new builders tend to forget about, it has a nice comfy lived in vibe to it. I really need to work on putting more decor items in my own buildings, but I usually tend to decorate with what the sims in the house tend to collect and get over time.

@@FakeGamerGirlOfficial is he from somewhere else and then has lived in England for an extended period of time? his accent is like a mix of broad Southern/middle-class English, American (a lot of people who learn English as an additional language speak with an American accent though, so not necessarily indicative of being from the US) and then at times something else (although that might be due to the mix of the two accents). i was trying to work out his accent whilst watching and couldn't 😭 (he has a brill accent/mix of the accents, to clarify! i like accents that are interesting to listen to, so hybrid accents are always very cool)

Also his advice to play other games and not have it take over your life is perfect! Love the description he gave for Stardew Valley! Lol It’s a great looking house. Since he likes first-person shooting games, does he know he can play The Sims 4 in first-person view? Not that I recommend playing it that way, but it is a thing. Not sure if with mods it can be much of a shooter game either. I like how most of his “complaints” about building are literally the same as every professional Sims KZbinr. It’s his first time building and he’s already like “why isn’t there a matching gate for this fence,” etc. Great job at building and doing the voice-over. Glad to have him pop back in a video on the channel. Though he’s very much a stick to the topic voice-over person and I rather enjoy listening to Sarah go down the rabbit holes of thought and jumping from various topics in such a short span of time. It’s very much like how many of my closest friends and I talk whenever we hang out together.

10:47 I had to make a promise to myself that I would not buy another dlc for Sims 4. I only own Base Game and Cottage Living. All other content is modded and I find it a more enjoyable challenge making the most out of so little. I've found Base Game high schools on the gallery, I personally made a Base Game University on a generic lot... And I can make money on that lot, too, with gardening, woodworking, and painting. I made a base game cafe with the Live In Business mods. EA doesn't give us much to work with, they just throw random stuff bugged mechanics at us and charge us for an EP.

I actually really like the layout and interior of the build, especially by someone who has had so little experience with this game beforehand, chapeau. My first builds (- to be fair, I was a child when I started playing the sims, and a teen when S4 was released -) were nothing but a shoe box stacked next to each other. I actually like the idea of the corridor and otherwise open space. I should use that more.

This might be his first build. But he definitely know to use many "tools" and "which button does what" kind of knowledge. He knows how to make bigger or smaller item sizes, different versions of the same item (like counters) and such. He watched many Sarah's built videos I presume :D

I've been playing sims for 3 years now and still a terrible builder, but this reminded me of my first go at building in the sims 😂🤣 A game I've been enjoying lately is One Hour One Life. You get 60 minutes to live 60 years, you are usually born to another player, but you could spawn as an Eve naked in the wild with nothing. It is a survival game. You can starve to death, you can be killed by another player, bears, boars, wolves, snakes, and mosquitoes. You can domesticate wild plants and animals and make heaps of things to make life easier. But you die of old age at 60 years old (60 minutes), you might be born back into the same family if you start another game... Griefers are people who do bad things and hurt others in the game, they tend to get murked. My favourite thing to do in OHOL is hunting. Bears are the hardest thing to kill in this game and I've been practicing (I usually die attempting, but I got one yesterday).
