@@hojusara how to make a good kimchi chigae....is it something non koreans cannot grasp? I have watched tons of videos, made tons of recipes, but it is not good like at the restaurant. Such a "simple" dish, but it does noy taste right when I am making it. Is it because I dont live in korea? I dont get it. And also, soy bean paste soup....it does not taste right when i follow youtube recipes. These two dishes, i just want simple at home cooking. No frills. Thank you for listening

I bought them at the supermarket Homeplus here in Seoul! They were a little pricey but I’m so glad I bought them! A lot of other places sell similar ones here in Korea!

I’d love to see more videos like this! I’ve literally been trying to figure out how I want to cook some ramen noodles that I have. I don’t think I have access where I live (aside from ordering online) to the type you used in this video, but I’m inspired! The spring onion was really long; I was surprised because the ones I get are always much shorter haha I don’t usually think to add cheese, but that honestly sounds like such a great addition! I’ll have to come up with some other flavors for the broth; I guess I have a soup packet that I didn’t use when I cooked some other noodles and I also have some bouillon that I could try. I’m excited to try and cook something new! Also, this is as unrelated as the s’mores XD but I’ve been wondering, what font(s) do you use in your videos? The subtitles and “pop-ups” are so clear and readable; I struggle to find fonts that I like in my own videos. I’m so hungry after watching this 😂 I better go eat something haha Thanks for another great video!

Here in RSA I usually order mine online too (maktetkokoro) I'm not sure if they're international. And the prices are reasonable with a very large variety of Japanese and Korean foods. With regards to flavours, I think just playing around might produce quite unique and surprisingly enjoyable flavours. I too am still a bit cautious when it comes to combining flavours XD

It looks great!! I found one thing that elevates it a bit as well is if before you put in the water you put a tiny bit of oil and fry the green onions on low till fragrant then add the water (done on low so you dont get too much splash when you add the water!) it sorta does that ramen thing! its best on thicker broth ramyeon or less water used. Hyun is right though, green onions are essential :)) what great tips, thank you for the great video~

I’ve tried a lot of Korean instant ramyun and my favorites are definitely Ottogi Jin ramyun mild and Samyang Original flavour ramyun. I put a raw egg when boiling the soup and some green onions and it’s good to go. Amazing quick lunch! 😊 I’m gonna have to try the cheese hack Hyun showed in the video!

Hi Sara! I was wondering if there's a specific word for the type of pot you used to make the ramyun. Interested in getting one but all my 'korean claypot' searches seem to come up with the type commonly used for jjigaes, etc but I want the wide/ flat type! Thanks for the video~

This is so useful!! I love Korean ramyun but I’m not into super spicy. There are tons of Ramyun Brands in our local Korean grocery and everytime the ones I pick is too spicy for me (can’t read Korean). Thank youuu Hyun and Sara for the tip. Will definitely try Ottogi Mild. Any other not too spicy ramyun you can recommend? Love Hyun’s name btw.
