The part about being happily single was hilarious and so true! I rarely miss being in a relationship 🎉
@keriannmeyers1171 Жыл бұрын
I felt the same! My fiance died before our wedding 2 years ago and while I miss the hell out of him, being single (well... with a 4yo) has benefits. I can LITERALLY do anything I want whenever I want! I can sew Edwardian clothing for my son and I and walk all over town with a parasol and not give a rats ass what anyone thinks about it (and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that men have not proved to be attracted to this; their loss.) Sadly there isn't much I can do about that first verse of mambo no 5, but hey what are you gonna do?😂

People in bad relationships trying to convince single people to get in relationships sound a lot like people who complain about their kids all the time trying to convince child free people that kids are great. They're like, "Hey, sorry I'm late, it's hard to get out of the house with the kids. I'm so tired, I don't think I've slept for more than 4 consecutive hours since Oldest was born. Sorry we can't do that trip next week, the kids have school events. We haven't had much spending money since Youngest was born, anyway, so we couldn't go either way." And then when they find out someone doesn't want kids, they're like, "How can you not want kids? Our kids are so great. You'll never know what love is. Your life will never be whole."

19:18 is not something Samantha from Sex & the City would have said. That's something Charlotte would have whispered or something Carrie would have shrugged saying. Samantha would have retorted that they voted for him because he's hot. Samantha wasn't the conservative one, she was actually more liberal.

It's nice to see a female comedian do jokes about someone other than sex. Not that she shyes away from it, and not that I don't enjoy raunchy comedy from women or anyone, but it's nice to see something different. I'm always thinking "hey women, you're people too, not just a collection of sex organs". An envelope can only be pushed so far before it's just normal. Good to see something different. And not crowd work. Which can be funny but I prefer to see something that took some thought.
