I managed to get a premium DCT in Performance Blue two months ago. Right place at the right time as a guy put a deposit down, waited, then in the end finance fell through (poor bugger). I researched everything from Golf’s, Mini, GR Yaris and the Type R. The car represents amazing value and more importantly FUN!!! The car makes me smile every time I drive it and always turns heads. I removed the i30 badge at the rear just leaving the ‘N’ - Looks pretty sweet 😊 looking forward to taking it through the Black Spur!

Just waiting for my white one,only mods I’m thinking is some clip on’s black Out the Hyundai badge and maybe mud flaps. The spoiler decal that’s a N. Tint the windows then see how bad the stereo is as I love me tunes maybe 🤔 upgrade speakers 🔊 but the exhaust may be enough. I’m in Melbourne we should catch up for a cruise brah

100% do everything you mentioned. i reckon the factory sound of the exhaust may be enough for you, so good for stock. And definitely need the speaker upgrade. In saying that I have got use to my stock speakers but I do have an upgrade to install just have not got around to it :)

I have the Pre Facelift and have the Maxton Design kit on it. Your N will look amazing with it on. I’m in Melbourne too (Northern Suburbs) maybe one day will see ya on the road! Nice car mate!!

Yes! The Maxton lip and spoiler will be on in the nxt few weeks. I just got in cut and polished and ceramic coated in preparation. I live inner city so maybe sometime soon 😁

My '22 N-Line Premium is fun enough (got it after my 2022 Elite was written off by a driver who doesn't know what a give way sign looks like). Can imagine the proper N models are an absolute blast. 👍

Same thing I’ve done watched almost every review bro and I’ve been waiting 💀 since December last year my dealer told me it’ll come by end of the year and same as yours it’s getting delivered but mines coming from Newcastle to Sydney and when it does come I’ll have my eyes around every corner of the car for any scratches or rock chips never know because we don’t deserve that to our new cars

That black with the red is very clean 🧼 on the i30N, unfortunately in the USA market there is only the Elantra N and Kona N and maybe if you’re lucky you can find a good deal on a used Veloster N. I ended up settling on a 2023 Hyundai Kona N in racing red, love every moment in this hot hatch.

Ayyyy nice i30n i recently got a i20N in the same color looks amazing, good luck keeping it clean in the weather we are having in melbourne though! XD also I've seen that at the end of the year wireless carplay is finally coming hopefully its just a software update. Edit: if you have to take it to any hyundai in melbourne i suggest melbourne city hyundai they are great to deal with!

OMG! Very relatable. The amount of dust even after it has been ceramic coated is ridiculous especially after the last few windy days we have had. Yes I can not see why we would not receive the wireless update at the end of the year the car would be perfect then :) Oh yes! I am currently going to Chadstone Hyundai and they have been great too

@@bwarefilmz i haven’t had mine ceramic coated it has a few chips already as the paint is quite soft unfortunately. I will be taking it in for paint correction and ceramic coating in a month or so though. Wait till you can really open the car up once you’ve run it in you’ll have a hell of a time! Maybe we could even join up at some stage and go for a run through the dandenong ranges the twisties are fun in our N cars! I think I’ve washed my car 5 times in about 8 days because of how dirty it’s gotten 😂

@@dllstortion9610 I have had no paint chips so far other than the paint defect from factory! But my car is still quite new and I'm sure I will have a lot in due time! I highly recommend the paint correction and ceramic coating.. It just pops and really shows off how nice the metallic flakes are in the paint. I have to say I wash my car about once a week and stays pretty clean other than the back as the wind and ran hits the rest of the panels and just runs off. When I first got the car I was cleaning everyday 🥲 Yes!! Would love too. I grew up near the Dandenong Ranges and actually planned on going sometime soon. Would be a heap of fun and have a good photo spot up there too

Interesting about the panel gaps. I just went and test drove a used 2018 i30N, overall seemed to be in good condition, had a full logbook service history but I noticed the clutch didn't really bite until the pedal was very high and there was a huge panel gap on the driver side front guard, the body line on the guard was like 2mm lower than the line on the door and looked so bad. I thought maybe it had a rough life, but the dealer insisted it was looked after and had no accident history, and then I've heard all manual N cars have a high clutch bite point. Tried to tell me it was just the colour of the car that made it look like the bodyline was off lol, I said if you look at the passenger side it's perfect. The performance blue car next to it didn't have the same gap either. I want to try out an i20N but am looking to trade in my ND2 MX-5 RF for one of these N cars

In my opinion no. They are pretty tight in the Shoulder range. Sorry for my Bad english 😅

Hey I would recommend test driving a premium version and seeing how you like the seats! The standard seats don’t hold you in as tight and are more comfortable for day-to-day driving! But the premium definitely look more luxury The DCT is really responsive and smooth. I love the way it changes gears differently depending on your selected drive mode too

Great information mate I’m hoping my I20N will be with me in the next couple of weeks as the ship just docked in Melbourne but I noticed at the dealership one i30n with disgusting rotors in the front that hadn’t been registered yet so I’m hoping mine won’t the grooved like that . I’m not sure if it’s the compliance drivers or the test drivers at the factory but I’ll be interested to hear what that say . I’ve heard disaster stories about the paint on theses so I’ve had notes not to let them wash it because they’ll probably get an apprentice to wash it and not 2 buckets wash and full plastic no removal too so I hope that avoids swirling or scratches and I’d recommend ceramic coating ASAP and possibly PPF on the headlights too .

Yes you are definitely on top off it! I told them the same thing which was not to wash it but the obviously did at some stage or the depot company did! The car has now been cut/polished, ceramic coated and it is the best thing I've done. No more swirls or scratches and the black really pops now. I can confirm with the rotors now the car being on 1500km that they do smooth out and look great now.. just suprising they look like that. I would definitely give the car when it arrives a good look over for any paint defects and scratches as well as any really bad panel gaps. But all of this can be fixed with some care and you will absolutely love the car :) I hope you get yours soon, the i20Ns are amazing 😁

This is a hard one! I also looked at rs3 and A45s. What made me choose the i30n was way cheaper servicing and parts are a lot cheaper. Also you can get a brand new i30n with warranty, whereas the rs3 you could get a used with no warranty for the same price 🤷‍♂️ Depends what your financial situation though but I like the idea of it being brand new with warranty which helps me sleep at night 😂

11:44 seen on many cars… I think because the bumper so large, if it is just a small % out of spec when they manufacture it, it won’t sit perfectly flush with the metal… definitely nothing wrong with the car.

Yes! It is a brand new car. At the time there was a wait time of 16-18 months for this spec. So I skipped the cue and got a cancelled order interstate.

I have same car and I noticed the wear on the seat not long after I had it but I’ve had it nearly two years and it hasn’t really got any worse. Hope this helps.

I´ve watched in another video one I30 Mica Black Metalic. Are there two different black colour. Are there two different black colours? This is Phantom Black? In Hyunday web only they have it in Phantom black. Sorry my English

Yes, Phantom Black is different from Black Metalic. I do not believe you can get the i30N in Black Metalic though

Not many touch this, what about fuel consumption? Of course I expect low mpg from spirited driving, but what about chill/commutes?

When I am in N mode (more spirited driving) it keeps the gears lower and rpms higher so you see about 12L per 100km (not the best but what I expect for a sport car) could even be higher depending how hard you go! When I am just in Normal/Eco mode casual commutes and on freeway i see it sit around 9L per 100km but I'm sure you can get lower also depending on traffic etc..

UK owner here (sorry for the metrics used) but I've got my car ECU tuned running 365bhp and I've actually got over 48mpg at 65mph commutes, obviously this'll change depending on driving but it can do 40+ average on a long drive. I am currently averaging 21mpg which is pretty low but I am always in N custom and this car gets thrashed every single day.

The interior is definitely more modern but I personally can not stand the exterior of the vehicle! If you like the look of the car then yes it is definitely a better choice
