My BRAND NEW Kutavar cnc plasma and oxy/propane cutting table.

This is a video to introduce my new kutavar cnc plasma and oxy/propane cutting table.
Just a quick run through of the machine and how it’s programmed and used. I’m still learning all the features of the CAD drawing process but the good thing is I can access my preferred cloud based software.
A little demo of the engraving head and plasma cutting also.

Yes, agreed, a civilised country that thinks things through. 3 phase is a necessity, not a luxury.When I worked there - and that was in the '70's - a lot of the mains cabling and services were run under pavements which meant very minor inconvenience to traffic and road use, unlike Britain where roads are dug up the repaired by the Gas company. Next month the water people dig the same road up to repair a leak. Then the Electricity supplier comes along 6 weeks later to install a new cable. It should be mandatory for any building/planning permissions that 3 phase is included to the property. The retrofit cost is astronomical in most cases. The UK is third world in its power/ data cabling mentality and they wonder why businesses struggle.

And good electricity isnt worth anything if you are not allowed to build commercial/industrial buildings and also none are available for rent. Additionally you arent allowed to do business / make noise in residential buildings anyways

Same in Norway. 3 phase everywhere. He could install a single phase to 3 phase converter. I have seen many American fabrication channels on YT having it

@@Frank-Thoresen True but youre still limited by the maximum amount of power you can pull out that socket. And true threephase gives you basically six times the power for almost the same wiring and copper gage

You can use graving feature for marking bending lines or hole spots for drilling etch during cutting. Thats where graving feature is Best!

A plasma table is one of those decisions we all mull over for months or even years, and as soon as you pull the trigger on one, you realise how much of an asset they are to your business. If you have work they will pay for themselves within 6 months easy. Great buy mate 👍

Power system engineer here: Give me a shout if you ever want some pointers on running more stuff with the electrical capacity you already have available to you... There's funky stuff that can be done.

So with the right inverter and battery you can have the battery charge when the load is light and then discharge when say the plasma is doing a heavy cut (automagically) Can add solar to the system too.

Awesome stuff. I’d buy a coaster for sure. Though I think you should just engrave the semicircles as it does have to support a very important thing, the beverage cup. 😂 And not everyone uses large mugs. Lovely machine. I hope it gives you many years of service.

I bet you’re jumping through hoops with your new machine. Retired now, last March. When I started in the timber game thirty five years ago, around about your age, there was just three of us using hobby machines . Then we up graded to three phase power using old probably third and fourth hand kit and with that more staff to use it. We progressed then using second hand kit, and then some new stuff. The point I want to make is the excitement and sense of achievement with each new upgrade was worth all the slog. My ex company is still going strong by the way.

As more and more word gets out about the type and quality of you work, this machine will have paid for itself within a few years. Also the fact that you can weld on Snowball Engineering patches onto ALL your work will pay off in free advertising. The owners of whatever you have made will testify to the quality of what you have made along with its suitability/effectiveness. That's priceless word of mouth advertising which might be slow first up, but it is free and is also the best form of advertising you can get. Relatively quickly you will end up with more work than you can handle - and that will create problems of its own. Just make sure you make a decent profit on all that you do. Some of the stuff you do, no-one else wants to touch. Make sure you price that work appropriately. Overall, well done. I enjoy seeing what you are capable of making/repairing/inventing. Congrats on the new machine! Maybe an idea for merch would be your Snowball logo with an integrated bottle opener? You could reshape one of the half circles into an flat opener. Or you could use one of the teeth as an opener like the ones you find as a keychain.
