I finally get rid of the chrome grill on my TRD Offroad and replace it with a direct insert from Bullet Proof Fabricating. This was a very simple install and took about 45 minutes. The letters on the grill are bolt on and can be changed which cover the nice powered coated mesh. I like that this is a very unique grill that I won't see on many other trucks, even though it does look similar to the factory TRD Pro grill, it has it's own uniqueness. I bought a 2002, first generation Tacoma last year. Seems the second and third gen can't drop the front bumper. I'm thinking of replacing my front and rear bumpers for off-road tube bumpers. In fact, the front will have a slot and space to have a winch.

That grill looks like it will hurt the airflow going in. The original one has much bigger holes, that let in much more air more easily.

It appears as if this grill design does not accommodate the radar detection device as other off market provide. Unless I missed something. That aside, it is quite a nice looking grill.

That wasn't something on the 2017, I don't have any sensors or anything in the grill, but the newer grills for the 2018 and newer have that.

My 2019 taco has a front sensor mounted on the grill. How does it remount?.

Honestly I'm not sure. With that sensor maybe there are aftermarket grills that can plug right up to it, but you may have to do a little more work to make it still function.

Nice video...Let me share my story about bulletproof manufacturing. I ordered the exact same grill for my wife’s truck. The next day it goes on sale for 30 percent off. I emailed them and they say there’s nothing they can do about adjusting the price. At this point the grill hadn’t even been shipped yet. I wanted to cancel my order and re-order at 30 percent off. That was too late. The only thing I could do is re-order and when the original grill gets here send it back. I decided none of that was worth my time and effort so I took the hit. Needless to say I will not order anything from these guys again and I will share my story as much as possible. Terrible customer service.
