It's the equivalent to a kitchen tea in the UK and Australia, it's usually a party before the bachelorette party where the bride get's some presents for the future home (not always but occasionally) and catches up with all the women in her life and those that will be invited to the wedding. You usually play fun games to do with wedding planning and just celebrate the engagement coming to a close.
