I totally relate to her....even my father was abusive...he left me and my mother...cheated on her and stayed away from us ...and is still the same...we have now finally separated from him...thankfully I now have the most qualified and loving husband ( IITian and a bureaucrat) and the most beautiful daughter. Even I underwent massive mental pain and scars because of all this....I did my own therapy through music , writing, spirituality and now I'm much better .

This personality of hers has come out of that suppression she’s endured. The mind finds some escape route and sticks onto it and honestly can’t rationalize if the behavior/actions. Some find peace in drinking and some in binge eating, drugs, substance abuse etc When she said I don’t hv a personality of own, I felt it cuz I too don’t have a personality of own. I react according to ppls response and talk in what stance the others took so I don’t get questioned or offended by others. I don’t know how to express myself. All my childhood I was prepared for that situation wherein my Dad would burst out loud for any and every reason in the name of discipline. He wore his anger as a Badge proudly and his hitting and shouting and yelling as a Disciplinary Action for our own good. He decided everything. Even what to eat.. We were not allowed Soda, as it makes us obese. No Candy as he’s diabetic and told us it’s running in our genes so No candies. Ghee cuz he used to say, I can’t get you off married if you’ll be like a pig. Cakes No. As a child, everything a child wishes was a No cuz he had a perfect reason for my own good. He used to spit on my Brother’s face whenever the School report card came saying He’s ashamed of him for scoring less. spitting on face. I witnessed a lot and I can’t erase it from my mind. My mom was a punching bag for him. The beating that my Dad gave us used to be on our bodies for 2 weeks to sometimes the fade marks for 3 months. I used to check my belt beatings as the skin color used to change from purple green to reddish. I showed my friend in School one day and she flinched immediately as she dint expect this level of beating I was talking about. I’m now 36 and still everything I’ve heard, I’ve witnessed haunts me even now. I’m obese due to me constantly gulping down my emotions in the form of sugary drinks. I choose nothing else to calm my mind except Only the Sugary Drinks. I feel like I’m taking revenge of him by drinking those and followed by my regret for not being able to overcome and it’s a cycle

such a psychiatric issue to be dealt with . Its a pent up frustration that now reflects in her personality. Why do we not understand that it is not okay to hit children. There is a limit to strictness . throwing our over possessiveness and our insecurities on children creates future urfi javed like children. She is not wrong in doing what she is doing. Infact i hope we can learn from her .

This woman everywhere tells her story . She left her house , spent life independently, did what she wants , living luxury life and you people are giving importance to her. Have you ever checked your villages where most of the women n girls are being harassed, raped and abused each n every day. They are living under the disturbing n painful situation. They work hard , not allowed to go to school, got married at very young ages, beaten by their family members and no body talks about them . Those who are already popular they get attention but those poor population who are already lost there's no platform who raise the issue , nobody cares about them. Unfortunately we are hypocrites.
