People that take their bad days out on others are just crappy people. Working in customer service has made me a bit jaded towards people, but there are some good ones out there still. Golden rule- treat others the way you want to be treated. You don’t know what someone may be dealing with and besides, you should always treat strangers with respect (unless they are shitty to you then the golden rule applies lol)

My dad passed in 2019 and I use food as a way of remembering him too. Sending you all the love and positive energy. Also don’t feel weird, its perfectly okay to honor your loved one in any way you want. My dad’s birthday was June 4th and I baked a cake for him and lit some candles and sang happy birthday. Whatever makes you feel closer to them and more at peace ❤️

Condolences. My dad passed in 2019. He was from the Philippines and about a week after he died all of the extended family were at his house just after his funeral. As we were gathered a package came in the mail for him. Something he obviously ordered a few weeks before he passed. We opened it to find a case of Tocino flavored Spam. Pretty hilarious if you knew the guy. He was eating KFC and Mountain Dew almost literally until the day he died. No one could convince him otherwise! The kicker is that he was semi-retired ER doctor. Go figure. Every family got to take a can of Spam home in his remembrence. Adam looked like he had good taste in burgers. Hugs. 💔

Every year on their birthdays we eat their favourite foods and buy their favourite birthday cake which they both loved. My mom used to light up a candle for my brother next to his picture to give him light on his birthdays, death anniversary and on the holidays. Since my mom passed, I light up a candle next to their pictures for my Mom and Brother.

I'm so sorry about your brother. I believe in energy too and that our passed loved ones try to contact us. My Dad always contacted me through dreams, but it wasn't for a few months after he had passed that the dreams started and now that he has been gone for 11 years they have stopped. Series suggestion: Downton Abby. When I was going through a rough time I put this on (after having no desire to watch it) and it was exactly what I needed. It was really easy to watch, nothing very tragic happens, so it's not anxiety and fear producing but it's still interesting enough to keep you entertained but you also don't have to think very much and there are like 6 seasons or something so that's a bonus.

I felt this to my core because I too lost my brother and your feelings are so relatable. All I can say is just breathe....time heals but little memories or out of the blue things will blind side you and hit you like a ton of bricks, but lean on good funny memories. Check in on your folks....they are hurting beyond words. You will also find yourself wanting to torture urself with things that remind you of him but thats normal.
