This story actually reminds me of a story from Australia that I read on reddit. This man actually grew up in a family where the whole family thought it was okay to both emotionally and sexually harass the female members of the family. His mother, grandmother, and aunt even took part in the harassment of his cousin and he helped her leave. Apparently his family was always this way and he just never noticed growing up thinking it was fine until he started leaving the house more and realized that his family has this incredibly toxic misogynistic culture.
