Lees right. I mean, look at Brett Lasalle and snot Rocket. Only running 6.20s and walking cleetus' big block twin turbo SMX. With a coyote still running a stock Ford crankshaft. (Snot Rocket 3.0 is faster, still coyote, not stock crankshaft. 6.0s @ 230ish)

Lasala's car is a much better platform than the Elco. And the SMX was not only overpowering it, the chassis was so weak and install so poor, that it broke the engine. You're comparing apples and oranges. That said, the Elco is now going in for work at CJRC, and you can be pretty sure that what comes out, will be a challenge for Lasala. KSR built the Elco to handle a 2000 hp LS, not a 4000 hp SMX. Lasala's car is a project that has been long coming, and it is just a much better starting point than the Elco. HeII the aero difference alone is easily worth 0.10.

Dual valve springs are not directly to combat valve float. they are to combat resonant frequency of the springs. Two springs - two frequencies - always a positive spring action. Single spring WILL have a frequency (engine speed) where the spring is ineffective (Valve float). A more powerful spring (thicker) will maybe raise that frequency to outside the possible engine speed, but may also create spring binding (interference), or too much force on the valve train. Dual spring is the way to get all the advantages of no valve float, less valve train force and no binding.

No way it’s beating that built LS7 twin turbo corvette with nothing more than Turbos. It does sound like a cheap dump truck but I don’t really care for the exhaust sounds of a DOHC flat plane crank engine when compared to an LS or LT cross plane crank.
