Good to hear that you are taking care of yourself and making sure that you can continue your climbing adventure! Also interesting to hear you mention humidity and cold, One of the reasons I got out of Gothenburg was because of the Wind, cold, humidity and unpleasant grey "winters"!

About the visa process, maybe try and get a lawyer. They tend to know what to do and just ease the whole process, without you getting headaches...
