The reason why there is nothing for toddlers is that the pack was released long before we had toddlers in the game at all.

@@SatchOnSims That's a very fair point and I somewhat agree. Even more so for elements from other packs, such as randomised cold/hot weather outfits. Then again, it is EA we are talking about here and I feel that, yes, even new players should know - or rather be told - what state the game used to be in and still is in, and that, sadly enough, we cannot expect anything for free, at least not without EA making a massive spectacle around it (e.g. Spa Day refresh or the Ghoth family makeover). Considering what the Sims 4 costs with all its current DLC, it is a disgrace how EA treats the player base and older packs. Yet, it feels unfair to me to judge this specific pack for the circumstances of its release instead of making the point about the actual core of the problem. And while I'm already ranting about EA: Satch, have you heard about the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection apparently going missing for some people after migrating from Origins to the EA app and EA support just telling them to move on to newer versions of the Sims? I feel some coverage of that issue outside of places like the Sims 2 Reddit might be beneficial to add pressure on EA and show that we don't want to be treated that way...

get together was cut out from the main game. That's why it's the map is big and and has many lots like the two others, and feels very generic etc. They tested to see if we would react to content being cut out, we didn't. So they followed that model to make more money from us

When the game was originally released there was a lot of content that was cut out, like ghosts and pools and toddlers, and people legit flipped, so I don’t know what you mean by content being cut out and nobody caring. I’m sure if people were aware that this was supposed to be part of the original game, then they would have had a huge problem with paying an extra $40 for it

Get Together is probably my favorite pack as well - I got tired of chasing / running about the place looking / playing story / game progression... now I just create a club and have the sims come to me - it gets things done 4 times faster.

Get Wicked Whims. Create an extreme woohoo club without a favourite gathering place. Have all activities to be performed as «With everyone». Start a gathering in some random community lot. Bonus points if at some festival from City Living. Enjoy the chaos. Watch the improvement points total go thru the roof.

One of the very best packs ever. The club system is not just very cross pack compatible, it even encourages wicked whims clubs... (wicked whims by the way has options to switch off jealousy)

I made a Karen club once for townies I made all naked Karen. They go to community lots and be mean to everybody lol they had an angry club vibe too. They appear at lots on their own so making townie clubs is also fun.

I love this pack! I genuinely think it's one of my favorite ones, and the fact that it was one of my first ones may play a part in that, but it's just SO MUCH CONTENT like damn the world is beautiful, the townies have stories, and for day to day stuff? It's pretty nice, I like putting children in a club and calling it 'soccer club' or 'scouts' or something, and make fitting activities, I do the latter way more than the actual scouts thing actually!

Bought this pack at the beginning of this month without knowing much about it, mainly for the big world and the club system (much needed for bringing family generations together). I’ve been loving it so far and agree with your opinions and points! It doesn’t have a specific theme like the other packs do (which is why I never paid attention to it until I found out about the club system) and does feel like a good addition to the base game. For being one of the older packs, I think it’s awesome!

@@cath.is.an.erizen Yes, it is working well for me! Some Sims end up doing some activities way more than others (cooking and reading mostly, which leads to a lot of mess) but overall I’ve had no major issues with the system! It is a great for families and friends to get together!

@@cath.is.an.erizen I don't usually experience bugs when utilizing the clubs, it's the the actual in game features I prefer to tweak lol. For the most part it's fine but if if you like to play with mods, there are several out there that make useful tweaks and updates the system to make better use of the later packs Increasing members was one priority of mine, but also the ability to host a single gender group with strangers - I wanted my self Sim to start a girl youth group and it just about impossible with the default constraints.

This pack is surprisingly good, easily in line with the best packs like Werewolves and Cottage Living. I bought it on sale for the build objects, but were very positively surprised by the world and gameplay. The clubs never were a problem for me, despite me having a fairly hefty Mods-folder.

The problem with a lot of these packs not having anything for toddlers, and now, infants, is because those life stages didn't exist at the point those packs came out. It's nice that they update the group system for every new pack, but I think adding CAS and Build/Buy for new life stages based on newer packs is probably too much when they're trying to rob us blind with new content lol.

When you see someone, anyone, rate any part of Get Together 10/10. It's wild to me though how they gave us GT with so much gameplay, so much great BB content and the best world in the game even through all these years. I mean, you'd think they'd only get better from then on but I feel like for the most part they've only gotten worse. I'd say this was generally worth the money (as much as it can be, since there's not much I think they can do with this game to make it worth the price tag not on sale), like, they actually gave us lots of aspects to make it worth what we're spending for it. For example, would I say Snowy Escape is worth the price? Nope! It's a good pack, but not worth the normal price tag. I feel like GT does have enough content in all directions to make it worth it, and it was one of the earliest packs. It's like they actually were trying to make the game good back then and not just go money grabbing, you know? I feel like Get Famous' content is enough to be called a game pack and not an expansion. Werewolves is great as far as I know (don't have it, but I've seen lots of reviews and it seems generally loved), but it's great as far as being a game pack because it meets the expectations of a game pack. I'd say GT meets the expectations and a little bit more, whereas Snowy Escape doesn't feel like an /expansion/ to me. It feels like a game pack! Imo GT should've been their base line for expansions, so it's sad to see how cash grabby they've gotten since then when the content doesn't match the type of pack it is. GT is my favorite pack because it has great content in all directions that I use regularly, to the point I don't really notice I'm using it now, so if I had to do without it, I couldn't! Other expansions though I feel like could be sized down and still be fine.

My Sim joined Clara Bjergen's cooking club, but when Clara invited the club members over to her house to cook, she'd tell my Sim "stop that, it's inappropriate" every time he actually tried to cook 😭

That's because they released a BG update sometime after Get Together's release where you could no longer use beds and kitchens in other people's homes, while forgetting it conflicts with one of the clubs and they never updated it :(

if they had put get together with the base game people maybe wouldn't have hated sims 4 so much and it actually might have been worth it on it's own. I bought the base game back in 2013 and just quit playing it altogether until the pandemic lockdown when there was much more to do in the game and so many nice mods developed to actually be able to do something. I remember not being able to enjoy sims 4 compared to all the stuff i could do in sims 3 and sims 2 and didn't see the point.

I wish I had this pack, it looks amazing. It’s amazing for occults and fixing autonomy with the actions like “use magic on everyone” or “fight everyone”. A great one is “repair objects” as sims can now do this themselves

Sims will sadly steal food from you in not just Get Together's cafes and enhanced bars (which let you order food, and even in basegame bars), but in Dine Out and various packs with food stalls too... and of course steal drinks from you in the basegame bars, lounges, and nightclubs. lol This was _really_ happening to me in City Living's festivals the other day because I wanted to try a lot of food to unlock recipes, ordered a few things, and then townies around my sim just thought it was free pickings. I might've frozen a couple of them. lol Before long I realized that the trick is to put the food in your inventory so that they can't get to it... even if it takes resetting them so that they drop the food. lol

This happened to me at a lot from the discover uni pack. She just arrived at the lot, pulled up to the bar, then proceeded to swipe my plasma Jane even though this sim is not a vampire. I was like, wut, lol. Rude introduction here we come! 😅

I think this is my favourite pack, but I am a builder so I am biased. I do think it is a hard one to market because I will mention it to friends that play more casually and they will be like "why". I do like the cafes for dates, especially before the dine out mod came out. I have been playing a lot with it lately, since before Christmas, I built a german Christmas market and it was so cute! The build stuff is basically essential.

I'd say it's definitely a mix of Tudor and Fachwerk, many of the default swatches on build stuff are darker so maybe it's not as noticeable but Def can see the inspiration when you look at the old town center for example. I personally live the build and buy in this pack and it's mostly the reason why I got it, it gives me so much freedom in creating historical houses

Laundry day was a waste of money for me because I can’t have a washer or drier for very long before it glitches out and the clothes just won’t get clean and there’s nothing you can do with them. Selling and then buying a new one will fix it but it’s really annoying when you’ve done all the upgrades for it and then have to start again!

There is nothing for toddlers, probably because toddlers where not there yet... I really like the outside walls. One of the clubs where members do the most of the things that the club stands for are flirt and woohoo clubs. Especially if the activities are set as «With everyone», making performing the activities with non-club members desirable. I have some issues with pre-made clubs that don't have any desirable activity. That mean clubs that can never get any improvement point. It don't just have cross pack compatibility, it also have mods compatibility. Clubs can have activities exclusive to pretty much any mod that provide some activity.

i got the pack but felt underwhelmed. I like the clubs. Maybe because i'm not into dancing or dj. There are 3 lots that are just in front of each other really close, but it needs loading screens. I understand this is important for my potato laptop. and the hair texture is so.. not pretty. its CAS also not my taste. but i do like the games it provided - game table set, foosball, dart, arcade. what else? maybe that's it. idk, maybe because overall sims 4 really feels underwhelming and i need to be extra creative. i like medieval stuff and building (or putting interior) but dunno why i dont know how to use these bb. maybe it's just me. maybe because idk how to do landscaping but interested to try in the future; i like that there're variety of items. i do agree it adds something to my base game - the games and clubs. other than that, idk, maybe need to explore...

It's sad that the European representation in The Sims 4 is so shallow. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Windenburg and Henford-on-Bagley, but that's not all that European architecture has to offer. We don't all live on the countryside here, I would like to see more modern stuff as well. I've been trying to create my Finnish childhood home, for example, ever since The Sims 1, but it just never looks right since the vibe always ends up very American. 😞

I disagree, if you look at UBrite it has that classic beige stone look that is very reminiscent of Oxford University. It looks more like Oxford than either Harvard or MIT. I think the design team will have pulled inspiration from multiple places / multiple prestigious Unis when making the pack, but for sure the UK is one of them.
