Great video, thanks! I’ve got SCS Ardennes and SCS Bastogne and enjoy them both. Others from my Ardennes collection you should consider are: - BCS Last Blitzkrieg (MMP) - Enemy Action: Ardennes (Compass) - Celles (Revolution) - Wacht Am Rhein (Decision)

Nice to see different bulge games and a comparison. I have played Ardennes 44 and enjoyed it. I have several others like tigers in the mist and bitter woods. hope to play them soon.

Thanks for the video, Jeff. I've played the AH Battle of the Bulge game you featured (aka Bulge '81 in some circles) several times back in the day, but never once did we use the Blitzkrieg Attack table. (I think it was an optional thing, but I don't recall.) The only other game I've played in your collection was The Gamers Ardennes and I enjoyed that one a lot. I have "Bastogne" and "Ardennes '44" in my collection, too, but I haven't played them yet...someday I will...someday.

I like your videos ... Very informative in a calm way. Btw... the new "A Time for Trumpets" looks interesting.

The Gamers "Ardennes" was one of my favorites, although I haven't played in a long time. It plays almost like a mini- Wacht Am Rhein in my opinion. Very fast and simple play and great for solo gaming. I also have recently purchased GMT's Ardennes 44 third printing, and GMT's mounted map for the game, which is awesome.

I cannot say I have any of these games but Bulge 81 which you have not shown. I better start looking for Bulge games

Hmm. I must not know what "Bulge 81" is. I thought my copy of "The Battle of the Bulge", published in 1981, was "Bulge 81".

Another great vid, thanks. Would you say Bastogne was unique enough to avoid the monotony that can sometimes plague pure attack-defense games? Did you enjoy the game play? I've been thinking about getting it. Steve

That's a tough one. For this system (SCS) I do kinda prefer the panzer smash and grab style of game and that isn't how this one plays. But as a counterpoint to that style, it is an interesting puzzle. Scarce resources and difficult victory conditions make it a tough one to crack.

Apart from Enemy action Ardennes i dont generally like setting or games of Bulge, almost same with Dday. Like more eastern front, africa or italy games.
