Here it is.. my camping + white water rafting childhood in Russia. All done by hands, even a "catamaran" with self-made inflated tubes and cut logs to tight and hold them together. Sleeping by the water is so peaceful.. Morning fog, uprising clouds and not a single irritating sound. When I saw wild strawberries, I almost cried! I would climb up the hill and bring a bucket of them and rose hips to snack on, make tea and jam. Water that is pure.. Then go and pick up forest mushrooms after rain, cook and eat them with self-made potato and bread slices previously dried to reduce the weight. Then go catch river trout jumping up waterfalls, 20 mins topped with salt: best "camp sushi." And when you get back home, you don't want to wash the camping clothes because it smells like firewood smoke :) I only wish the current generation would experience it at least once. It's nothing and it's everything at the same time compared to sitting on the phone all day and ordering food. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING! I shared this video with my family in Russia, my camping partner in Germany, and a friend from Montana. We all speak Nature.

I live in northern California and I'm an hour and a half from any beach north of the Golden gate Bridge and an hour away from Donner Summit. I've ALWAYS known how lucky I am for being put on this earth where I live. About 10yrs ago I got really sick and wasn't expected to survive. I did and here I am. I am only disappointed in the fact that I had to retire early because I get bored quickly and am always looking for something to do. Now.... I came across your site that reminded me about what I need to do. I am getting my 14 pounds of fury (my killer mutt) and my Zodiac and heading for a place called Bodega Bay and head towards another beach in a place called Fort Brag. What a fantastic thing it is to have come across your site. Take care and happy camping,........

The water is so clear and very clean and you just want to soak all day. It is like huge natural aquarium ..Sounds, such as birds' song or the sound of running water convey a sense of security, relaxation and happiness. If were a contestant on the show "Alone" this would make the most sense to build. You don't have to cut down huge trees or haul heavy logs, just rely on the engineering of a dome hut built out of lightweight sticks. No building a house to start a bigfoot family when all you need is a calorie saving shelter. The spot you chose is gorgeous.
