MY CAMARO BROKE? (6th gen issues)

The starter is heat soaked. Should start once she cools down. Sucks when you have errands to run especially in warm/hot weather… The headers on these cars sit right next to the starter causing it to overheat.

Fix your ground cables and add another on that passes through the voltage sensor to the body in the back. These cars are glued together and glue isn't the best conductor of electricity. Then do a ground test using the volt method. There are videos on here about how to do the test.

Mine does that a lot lately...when that happens To me I usually have to wait 30min up to an hour of having it off then it turns on..or I just jump start it but I risk the check engine light coming up and then my rpms don’t work idk why but then I let it cool and the next day it turns on great without any problems till I turn it off and on again like if I go to the market and turn it off and come back to leave I risk the embarrassment of the car not turning on smh...I’ve changed the battery and it still did it so I had had the alternator changed and nothing had the spark plugs changed and nothing and then the starter and still nothing like every time I change anything it works for about 2 weeks and then it does the same thing...has anyone had this problem also? What could it be after I fixed all this already

Try replacing the battery if not I’ve heard the starters start going bad on them!!!!

@@SSHADOWXO i took my battery to autozone it was at 3 percent I was able to get it recharged and put it back in my car it’s been running fine since then 😂

how do you like your ss? I own a 370z, but I'm really interested in getting a Camaro. If I do get it I plan on doing light mods, such as e85, headers, and exhaust. I was going to boost my z, but it's expensive to boost, and on top of that it's my daily.

@@carlosperezofficial7677 I ended up getting a c7 corvette. Same motor as as ss. It’s a whole different animal. Tbh I would’ve kept the z, and never have gotten the corvette. Don’t get me wrong it’s fun, but a z is much simpler to daily.

Maybe its your battery bro and if it kills the new battery again might be a sign to check the charging power on the alternator before swapping it out too 🏁🤙🏼

U are in the beginning of a nightmare. Done alt and starter 2xs.Definety add new ground of your front fuse block. When u do your starter wrap with heat wrap then heat shield.

@@marqueswoods4141 I took mines to the dealership man n they said I got bad gas messed my manifold, injectors and fuel pump up so look into those first

I changed starter and battery , car will click and starts ONLY when it wants , 1100$ for starter battery replacement im going back to BMW if nobody finds this issue , its been 5 years..

@@jbass0515 my dealership told me it was my fueling system (fuel injectors, fuel pump, and my manifold was dirty so look into those 3 things man

On my 6th gen I had the battery cables bad so they swapped them and it works way better. It could be a low volt to the starter like they said for mine u should check that out
