My Camaro SS broke down AGAIN! (5th Gen Camaro Issues)

So yesterday, the 13th of October, my Camaro SS broke down yet again! My car went on limp mode during my drive down a popular main road. Before that, my car was having some rough idles and had some problems with throttle response. Check out the rest of the vlog to see what happens!

Wiring harness! Had the exact same problem. Metal clamp wears through and has to be replaced.

My mustang had the same problem, it is your mecanism on the left of the throttle body that is aged / dead, you most likely won't have to change the full throttle body, unless you know ... you want bigger throttle for more power. Shouldn't be more than 300$

Look up. Accelerator pedal relearn Throttle valve closed position relearn Idle air volume relearn Relearn Do these in this order Make sure your car is at normal operating temp. And ALL power draws are off ( heat. Radio. Interior lights ) etc... and steering wheel in the center Read the instructions carefully and do exactly as described, use a stopwatch if u think u can’t count accurately This will turn off your CEL and reset your fuel/ air ratios. If this does not work then you probably have a faulty Throttle Body don’t bother changing anything yourself just replace the whole throttlebody and do not move the butterfly on the throttlebody with your hand it screws the gears up

I just bought mine 2 days ago and the idle isn't stable, tach fluctuates slightly and slowly. Almost 90k miles, is it normal or should I have it looked at?

@@gvaspirated so I got the throttle assembly installed and it isn’t going into safe mode anymore. The idle in 1st gear is all over the place now though. Only when I’m slowing down. Any ideas? I’m gonna clean my air filter cuz I have one just like yours.

I would clean the throttle body and actuator before I start buying a new throttle body. If it come to it just upgrade it.

Yeah the entire motor, a bunch of shops were trying to put me into a Jaspar motor but I heard they are crap and I would rather put a the same motor and take my chances and mod the motor to cancel out the Active Fuel Management system

Lol that's funny bro i built my Camaro for 1000 HP and I don't race abuse it I drove it maybe 500 miles in the last 2 years and things always go out on it. This are gonna get faulty they're gonna get faulty. Plain and simple. I've never even taken my car to the track but I have about 36k in it.

You have to tune the car . When you removed the cats you threw off the computer so the ratios are off . Also the cold air allows more air flow so it should be remapped . Again a tune will be best. My opinion

Agreed Always tune after cats and intake, you allow for more power you need to use correctly with the tune or everything is thrown off

Bra it has no throttle position 😂 But in reality you need to do a rational check on the car, first check the battery connection a ground will drive ya car nuts , Remove the codes and if they come back they are solit
