Hey Ryan. Camper with three kids around a similar age and an interest in a lot of Snow Peak stuff. Would love to see more videos featuring attention on your recipes cooked that are child friendly and single burner friendly.
@rtmadani3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I’ll definitely include more shots focusing on that in our upcoming trips. Preparing more time consuming things like rice and noodles the day before helps simplify cooking out there a lot for us with the single burner.

Loving these informative videos! Thanks for putting the time into these. IGT has definitely been on my wish list for quite some time. Seeing as some stuff on Snow Peak’s website has been out of stock for awhile (guessing due to the global supply shortage), specifically the flat burner and now recently the stainless unit covers and long extensions are OOS, I should probably pull the trigger and get what I can now before bits and pieces for my setup continue going out of stock before the summer months.
@rtmadani3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jon! We experienced the same thing when we were trying to get our set up together. I’m not sure if you’ve already tried giving the store a call yet, but you can let them know the items your waiting for and someone will give you call usually before the online system registers the item back in stock. Hopefully they do a restock soon though!
@jont20963 жыл бұрын
Smart! I also registered a few items to email me when back in stock too. Curious, what’s your system for cleaning dishes when camping? Thanks!
@rtmadani3 жыл бұрын
So there’s a few different ways I do dishes based on where I’m camping. If there’s already a picnic bench, I’ll place my Scepter Water jug on top and attach the extra water can dispenser to it. I also have Snow Peaks square folding pack bucket, which is really convenient as it folds flat for transporting. If I’m going dispersed camping without a bench, I put the water jug on my IGT and place the pack bucket on the ground. It’s definitely not the most comfortable position for washing dishes but it’s what I’ve been doing for now.

Informative videos. I've read the Baja burner does not simmer well and without a wind screen it can go out - what has your experience been? Thanks.
@rtmadani3 жыл бұрын
In windy conditions the Baja Burner does not perform well and from my experience will not heat the pan enough to cook food as the flame just blows sideways. A windscreen would be extremely useful for this stove in windy conditions. I've personally had to pull out my MSR backpacking stove a couple times in windy conditions just to finish cooking a meal. A slight breeze generally won't have much effect on performance but anything over i'd say 12-15mph would be an issue for sure.
@Victor479303 жыл бұрын

Great and helpful conversation…I was looking at the Baja or the SP Flat Burner…I wonder if the flat burner would do a little better vs the Baja since it sits lower in the Frame?! Any experience with the flat burner? Thanks.
@Victor47930 Жыл бұрын
@@Bryan-ld2ro I've since bought and used both the Baja and Flat burners. The flat does sit lower and it helps with wind. But what I found best is that I bought a small folding wind screen off Amazon and can use it with either the Baja or flat burner if wind becomes an issue. So my recommendation would be to get a small folding wind screen and get which ever burner fits your needs best. It's likely you may end up with both eventually.

Love the Snow Peak stuff and I've been curious about the IGT platform but I wish they would have some stoves that ran on some sort of refillable fuel. I know propane isn't really their thing but I feel like the IGT is begging for that option!
@rtmadani3 жыл бұрын
As someone who goes through way too many of those canisters, I completely agree that a refillable option like propane would be nice! The IGT is a solid table and incredibly simple, but yeah offering some propane compatible stoves or even a compatible adapter would definitely attract more people to the IGT system!
@ianjohnson47882 жыл бұрын
You can add an adapter that allows you to run propane. I have been running propane on my baja burner for years with no issues whatsoever.

It’s a beautiful set up. Very different from using the same two burner Coleman stove on a picnic table as I have all my life. This is probably best for over-landing style camping? PS please soon do a walk through of the Alpha Breeze tent. Small features you like/dislike, how it performs in heavy rain or wind. It’s on my list of contenders against the usual big NA brand tents.

Thank you! The IGT is probably my favorite piece of gear, it’s really versatile and incredibly easy to use! Plus it will last forever! It’s perfect for overlanding but we also use it at campgrounds as well. I’ll get a full review of the Alpha Breeze up here soon!

Great informative vids! I just bought a Snow Peak Chair because of your review. I was wondering what size Snow Peak cutting board do you recommend ? I’m stuck between getting the medium or large. Thanks!
@rtmadani2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks a lot! We're using the medium size and are pretty happy with it for our needs, but just keep in mind it is pretty small. I think it all depends on how many people you're cooking for. To give you an idea of size, one medium sized onion chopped would basically take up the entire board.

I'll soon have a Snowpeak Alpha Breeze and want to add a table for under the awning. From what I can tell by your other videos, the 3 unit fits just fine. But I'm curious, would a 4 unit IGT fit, or is it too wide? And if only the 3 unit fits, would adding a stainless box hung over the side keep everything under the awning still? As always, really appreciate all the Snowpeak content :)

Debating between the 3 unit vs 4 unit considering bringing this in a sedan trunk.
@rtmadani2 жыл бұрын
I think both could work, but I’d probably lean towards the 3 unit for a sedan. Some trunks, like mine have those large hinges, which would make it more difficult to fit.

I have a full snow peak IGT setup, with IGT 4 frame, standing legs and sitting legs, long IGT table attachment, baja burner, flat burner, double BBQ setup, oven, and more. Yes, it is very expensive, but it makes the camping experience very nice. Table space is always a premium and there is a lot of versatility in the system. you are mainly limited by how much to bring. I have made pizza camping in Death Valley and it was amazing. It sets up and takes down relatively quickly for the size. But it lasts. I have gone through coutless folding chairs and camping tables costing $50 to $100. The snow peak quick folding table is over $300, but I have now had it for 7 years and broken more than $300 in other equipment, plus it is wood and solid. Worth is in my book but is also depends on how much you are going to use it and get out.
