I think this is a really great starter. I am probably going to get it in the next couple of months. I know I want to modify it too. Have the burner, then have all stainless tops. I have a 17” blackstone griddle that I like to use. Also, get the 3 unit for my sink area. Pick up the naturalizer stainless sink. So yeah, build it to how I’m going to camp. Snow peak is just a wonderful camping company.

What do you think of the Flat Burner vs the Baja Burner? I have had a Baja Burner for the past 10 years... my two issues with it are I don't think it simmers well, and it is affected by wind. Looking at the design of the Flat Burner, I am thinking the fuel regulator and big control knob will be easier to control and simmer, and also the recessed burner should be less affected by wind. I don't think the Baja Burner has a fuel pressure regulator at all, which makes the flame control touchy. Any thoughts after having used both extensively?

After switching to the flat burner from the Baja for years, I honestly never pull the Baja out anymore. You addressed it all: the big control knob integrated within the frame rail is much easier to control and the recessed burner helps a little with wind compared to the Baja. Haven't had any complaints since switching to it!

@@rtmadani the lav mic connects to that rode, you put the little rode on your belt and you wear the lav mike on your shirt
