finally my favourite sc2 youtuber does my favourite content. I'd really love to see how cheese turns out when someone at a very high level plays it and also comments his own actions. That's very interesting and also fun and also those short games make good entertainment with less time commitment. For example when you have 15mins break at work or something, this is reliable that at least a game within an episode can be finished without being pulled out of it in the middle of the vid cause the break ends

I remember you did a vid with printf where he taught you stuff like how that second game played out. I think the neat trick was he rushes gas so insanely before he needs it so he can support 2 Stargates and can pump out more voids than the enemy, just because he started mining gas earlier

Want dumb cheeses? Alright, heres one. 3-4 gate stalker. But dedicate one of those gates to sentries. You want to hallucinate extra stalkers and put them in front to tank. When hallucinations die, retreat and wait for sentries to regen energy. Repeat. Skip blink to save gas(hallucinations cant blink anyway).
@vitas753 жыл бұрын
Another tactic is to drop sentries into enemie's base and ff his ramp, keeping his army out, while warping in zaelots to clean the entire base.

Loving this idea. Even if the builds are suboptimal, the experience of the chaos could make you more confident in the strange scenarios and force your opponent to lose IQ points based on how uncomfortable you can make the situation.

I think that even if your MMR isn't as high as it could be playing good starcraft, I think your tournament results will improve. Just because your early game will be so much more powerful and dynamic.

Stupid stuff: Code cracked. Your opponent has partially decrypted the code you use to command your units. So as you play the game you type out partial messages of what you’re doing. “Probe go...” “... across the map”
@sasugashogun2 жыл бұрын
I've always loved to play "Cheese," not because I wanted an easy win, but because playing standard is so boring to me. When I was playing SC2 regularly, I'd learn the standard builds for all the factions and practice them, but that was for educational purposes. It's like the old adage, of learning the rules, then you can break them. Everyone should learn standard, if for nothing else but to better understand the game, and to better understand their opponents. But, standard is always boring to me, so I create my own builds and/or cheese. I'd not copy someone else's cheese on purpose -usually- but there are only so many forms of cheese that make any near-sense. Anyway, cheese is the way to go! But if it was the viable strategy, it wouldn't be cheese any more. If aggression was the way to go, then everyone would claim what is standard now is cheese. Because, ultimately, what is cheesy and what is not, is based on what is mainstream, and what is not. What is expected, and what is not. It's almost like the old honor code of duels and battles. But, you can't expect your opponent to play by your rules, just because you want them to.
@MrDreyven3 жыл бұрын
Cheese suggestions: 4/3 gate proxy zealot, a classic. You can even try it versus terran, the secret here is to use the probe to build pylons in your opponents wall to block him from walling you out. Classic 1 base chargelot all in. Collossus drop?

you may be interested to look at builds of Genies. He has about 6k mmr with 100 apm only. With that micro he is not able to hold against any harass properly, so he plays aggressively himself. Besides that his builds are not too deficient economically. Probably, with better micro one should be able to squeeze out of them much higher mmr. He has many videos on regenerate tv channel

If another opponent stays in a game for way too long, I would love to see you mine his natural.
