This is my Carvewright after 11 years of carving projects and a simple overview of how I design a project then the machine cuts it out. Like other Windows based applications, you can create, print or cut out in vinyl but with Designer,
you can create and carve your creation with the Carvewright in wood or other materials. Please enjoy and be amazed at this CNC machine. Thanks for watching and Please Subscribe to CarveTools and leave a comment if you like.

Excellent tutorial! I have an older machine that I bought a few years ago. Can you recommend any updates For the machine or software updates? Thanks for taking the time to get this out to everyone.

A friend of mine passed away last month, he had told his wife that he wanted me to have his Carve Wright, she dropped it off this week, I had no idea how it worked but thanks to your time and video I have an idea how it works, thanks, now it’s time to learn the software!

So sorry about the passing of your friend. What a blessing he wanted you to have his Carvewright. If the software is on a computer that had already been registered it should not be a problem but if you install the software on another computer you will have to contact Carvewright.com and they can assist you. Thanks for the comments and happy carving!

That was really helpful from start to finish. I had been considering the Carvewright for over a year. As you mentioned they are making some changes (upgrades) to the original machine. Now they are calling it "Raven" USB to replace the older PCMCIA cards. In place of that brass contact roller they are putting in a cog roller wheel. They want you to use a length of their proprietary rubber 1/2" strip with small teeth on it to mesh with the new roller device. They say it makes for more accurate board movement. I see the importance of the other machinery for dust collection, board planing, sanding mop, Investments $$$. Don't risk ruining the Carvewright, it is not a cheap machine. Thanks for the indepth information.

Thank you for the comments! I've had the Carvewright since 2011 as this was the least expensive CNC wood carver available and it has exceeded expectations.

Wonderful! So glad this helped. I don't have a lot of spare time and can't wait to be retired one day and use the CarveWright more often.

Yes, it's still a fun tool for me. Woodworking has been my hobby since I was a teenager and the Lord willing one day when I retire there will be more time for these toys. Thanks for the comments!

This video popped up in my feed and it was a joy to watch. I have been a CarveWright user since 2007 and it is a great tool for the shop. I have been collecting the machines that I find at a good price as I am a Mr. Fix It on the machine. I am only using one machine at the moment but have 12 more in reserve for future mass production use. I also got in on the 30% off Raven deal so I look forward to seeing that machine in action. I am sending this video to my Brother who I hope retires in the Spring and we start doing wood projects together. Great Video.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the comments and have read many of your post on the carvewright forum. I have been an electronics and mechanical guy for many decades and have had this machine apart several times over the years and it still amazes me how it works. Thanks for the comments. That was so encouraging.
