Great video Mike. This was a great look at your very impressive cassette collection. I have that same Kid album and I kind of agree with you... it's not super exciting apart from the track "Girl Money" Very cool catchy tune. I get it when you used to think of Heart as "Heavy Metal" I was kind of in a similar mindset.... I guess it was partly down to the young age and partly down to just discovering it all at the time. Plus, anything with a distortion guitar in it was classed as heavy metal in society's minds in Britain. Looking forward to the next half.

Thanks Bev. I've had to put the cassette player into the menders and they don't half no what to charge. The motor has burnt out and some cogs have lost teeth so it's costing £80. It's kind of a nightmare having to resort to very old equipment but they just don't don't make them now.
@ClarkOVision
@ClarkOVision 2 жыл бұрын
That’s quite a lot for a repair but you’re right about having to use old equipment. I feel I should get my tape deck in for a check as I think it could probably use new belts at least.

Yeah this is good stuff, quite a few there that I have not heard, so I need to educate myself a bit more. I am a bit the same with Badlands as well, everyone raves about them, but I don't know what the big deal is... there are quite a few albums you showed in this video that are better than Badlands! Very enjoyable Mike. I agree on lots of what you say here. Most of my glam stuff is in vinyl or cd. I've got both the Dangerous Toys albums on vinyl. I actually saw Dangerous Toys live, supporting Faster Pusstcat on the wake me when it's over tour. Both me and Mrs Mc owned that first Faster Pussycat album on vinyl. I love that Junkyard album, have it on vinyl, I have the 2nd junkyard on cassette. No Electric Boys? Why do you and Cloudy Milder not own More Uncharted Heights of Disgrace by Dogs D'Amour , came out in '93 and is awesome. Also Tyla was desperate to call the best of Dogs Hits , coz you put it together and it says Dogshit !!!No circus of power? No Backyard babies? No Buckcherry? No D'Molls? I think I have 4 or 5 kix albums. I prefer the later Black n blue albums. Looking forward to part 2, maybe I should do my top 25 glam bands video....

I don´t know even half of those bands. Ok, that´s not really my style of music. I like a couple of the more glammy bands but I´m very picky. I like the first two Hurricane albums, Hansen´s voice is fantastic, no wonder he´s in Foreigner now. You need to revisit "Tough It Out" by FM, I think it´s better than the debut. Jagged Edge opened for Bruce Dickinson in 1990, I never heard their records. ...Oh, wait, ....there´s non single tracks on "Hysteria" ??? Hahahaha..... About 15 or 20 years ago I bought 5 copies of the album just to destroy them in every possible way.
@sixzerothreeonesevensixnine

😂😂😂 that's outrageous. Some of them I'm a bit vague on myself. So much at once but most of it I'm familiar with and enjoy. The glam pre dates the thrash by a few months for me whereas are standard metal I've usually avoided. I've been thinking about an Exodus Zetro era ranking but I'm not sure people are ready for another hate week 😂. To sum it up Exodus...less than the sum of their parts.
