My Cat Finally Has A Playmate After Two Years!

My playful young cat Indy finally has a playmate after two years and this is his reaction! Before my new cat Chewie arrived at our home, all Indy had was my oldest and grumpy cat Santi and he is the kind of cat who doesn't like to be touched or bothered by anyone. So Indy definitely needed a playful friend like himself and now, after two years, we have Chewie in our lives!

I used to have 2 cats that loved playing with each other on different sides of the “open" bathroom door, then they'd change sides, loved it. Just like Indy and Chewie with their paws under the door. I do hope Chewie likes to field goals too but that might be a bit much, Indy is the total professional.

Oh this is wonderful and your timing is perfect! We just lost one of our sweet babies, his name was Spice. Indy reminds me so much of him, his playful spirit, his small frame, his curiosity he was a grey tabby but similar coat pattern!! This is so much fun! I've noted how two cats (any two, usually males), while seeming to want to fight to the death, one or both will look away during a face off (distracted, checking out something, whatever), but to me that means they are "saying", "hey, I'm not as serious as you may think, I just want to play around." Also I always watch their eyes. Pupils wide open generally mean a cat is seriously trying to figure out something he/she is hunting (eyes gathering more information) and the prey better beware. I noticed normal eyes when the two boys were playing, and Santi's eyes (and smile!) showed how relaxed he was. Another very good video!

I must have watched this 3 yers ago - gosh time flies. Really love this video. Indy is the most beautiful cat. His mother and father much have been royalty. Chewie and Santi are lovely too.

I'm a dog 🐕 person. But, a young male cat showed up in my driveway very skinny. I took him in. After 3 weeks of eating, drinking water, and resting, he's wide open, lol. My dogs don't understand that he wants to play when he swats them, lol. I'm so glad they all get along so well. He just got neutered. Let the fun begin! I'm learning more about cat behavior. 💖

I adopted a young shorthair collie and then got a kitten. The dog was smart & gentle but much bigger. My favorite moments were watching the cat sleeping on top of my collie laying on his side. I think I saw a little smile on his face. Animals can teach us a lot about compassion & forgetting restrictions of crossing barriers. Enjoy your new buddy.
