I didn't expect the German song my granny would sing this for me she had an amazing voice, she had singing education from nun's. It was amazing i would always lay completely still to not miss a minute. She was an extremely cold person(war is horrendous) but on this occasions i felt hugged by her. Cats, female and male, love to groom each other if friends. i.e Santi. Lol My two boys always groomed each other for 15 years till Luigi passed last year. Ferris, now 18, a little ornery at times would turn it into a fight at times. But they loved each other, sleeping with one arm over the other. 💕😻😻

@@annetteenzoulis4870 Oh my goodness, Yes. He cried at night for 6 weeks. He’s a shoulder hugger and he wanted hugs all day long. Finally, I went to the shelter and found 8 yr old orange Penny. 12# of sweetness. They’re not best friends but he doesn’t cry at night. They’ll even sleep on their own pillows above my head at night. Of course, he gets the one directly above mine. She wants to play but he’s too old for that. He’s down to 8# from his former 12 and prolly has old bones lol. So she settles for running at him and jumping over him. Or running and “patting” at him. He’s like “Whatever”. Never growled at her. I think he’s happier than being alone. All in all, I think we’re all happy. I finally have a cat who loves to curl up in my lap, at least 3 times a day. Luigi would sometimes but nothing I could count on. I love and miss him so much. 😻💕

I really didn't experience that kind of sadness in any of my former cats, not even in my Fritzi when her brother died at 12,5 years. She became 17,5. They both lost weight towards the end, Kasper only weighed about 2 kilos before he had to be put to sleep. Please look at their thyroid levels, an overactive thyroid gland is very common among older cats, often coupled with kidney failure which is masked by the thyroid function for a while. There are pills you can give them to slow that development. Vidalta was the name of those pills here. It is a consolation that they sleep in your bed and that he doesn't cry any more! @@annetteenzoulis4870 Thanks for your concern for my kitties. 💕. They always have gotten regular check ups. 😻. Ferris is beginning kidney failure and he’s been on thyroid meds last 2 yrs. It comes as a gel in twist pen that I apply to inside ear flap twice a day. Keeps it normal! Luigi was having kidney decline for several years. The last few weeks he was hissing a lot just by walking by him. Was in pain. The day his back legs were barely working, I knew it was time.... My vet is the best. She is great. They all loved Luigi with his lilttle old man face. (My aviator, that’s him). Made a plaque with paw print, jewels and name. Sent a card with everyone who works there signing with a little msg. I have his ashes in a beautiful oak box. The best to you and yours this Christmas season!🎄. From Michigan, USA

This is soooo adorable! Did you know that when cats blink their eyes slowly at you, they're actually greeting you? :)) Normally, cats don't blink their eyes as often as we do, especially if they're in front of a prey, unknown person, or some sort of threat...but since they trust you so much and are comfortable around you, they wouldn't mind slow blinking, as if to say "hi" to you. I do the "slow blink" to stray cats too, and at first, their ears would perk up, as if trying to guage or understand why I'm greeting them. Some would eventually do the "slow blink" back and go towards me so I could pet them, while others remain skeptic and still keep their distance. Try it! I just found this all out from watching cat documentaries. Hehe.

I had a ginger tabby with a similar playful temperament. Picked him up as a kitten from the streets in the rain and with a bad cough. Antibiotics and the vet cured him. Gave me two scares when he got sick and once went missing for two days. Last September one morning I found him dead in the garden from some poisonous bite . It broke my heart. It was so unexpected that I haven't yet come to terms with it. Wish all the best for these three wonderful cats.

It's heartwarming to see kitties get along...grooming, playing, and wrestling. I have a kittie that was raised by my adult liter of 3. They taught her how to be social, have manners and be respectful. They all passed away and she was sad. I went to the shelter and brought a young one home. My kittie was so sweet and respectful to the new one and won the new one over. They get along so well and it was all because of the manners that my liter of cats taught her while they were alive. I always remember them when I see her be so sweet to the new one. It's fun to have more than one cat, if they get along.
