That is such a pretty tote, but I am with you--I can't take a heavy purse on vacation. I always look at the weight of a handbag before I will buy it now because this is such a big deal to me.

this review was really useful as i've often admired that bag but now i know about the weight i know it's not for me! just a tip, deauville is pronounced "doe-ville" as in "doe a dear" and ville as in rhymes with the "sill" in window sill. xx

Just found you and I just bought he same bag in Florence ....I LOVE IT .....but yes it’s SO HEAVY!! And I too Cary the same things and use my neverfull GM as my airplane bag .....SO great video glad I found you. OH and btw I use a SAMORGA in it and it makes a nice difference

I had this lovely beauty just like Minks4All in the Pink. It was my dream bag for years. I still LOVE looking at it. I loved as you said the handles & the beautiful chain classic handles. It was one of my more painful bags I sold. But it just didn’t work for me with 3 little ones & even my teen loved it but agreed it was too heavy. My Neverfulls are more practical for me when I need a tote. I also have a Goyard. This bag is gorgeous but just didn’t work for me. 😔

Beautiful bag but I definitely get it being too heavy, I have played around with so many bags to find the "perfect" one and I don't think I have yet. I use my Neverfull and sometimes I overload it and things fall out. ( my fault) I recently bought the LV All In as my carry on for a trip to NY and it worked better for me because it has a zipper. It is my make up and toiletries that cause it to be heavy so yes try to pack it in your hubby's. 😊💼 Loved your comparison.

I have that bag and I never carry it for that reason..its heavy! The chains dug into my shoulder and hurt like crazy. I won't ever get rid of it but I haven't used it in a year.

I love my Deauville tote. It can get very heavy but I am wondering why you wouldn't place it over your carry on suitcase or any suitcase while you're in a long line? I know that line in Mexico and it is long I always lay it on top of my carryon because I cannot carry it full with my bad shoulder. Love the bag!

I bought a replica of this bag and it looks so authentic, I did go online to see the actual price and I can’t bring myself to spend over 3gs on a tote bag. The bag that I received looks so identical to yours and I did a comparison and everything is to the t. Even the soft “microfiber” dust bag. Yes it is heavy and I haven’t used it yet. I’m a single mother and my child is planning to go away for college next year, so there goes the rest of my future funds. Great video, very helpful.
