I love how visible the progression is in this video. At first you just go for some regular shots, with a few lucky flicks thrown in. Then, you start going for flicks more, and have some really nice snipes. By the end you are consistently hitting shots and getting some really crazy flicks.

i've been trying to do something similar with learning all the chargers ever since i got into splatoon a few months ago, and i've come to really respect the aim stability and confidence from more experienced chargers. aside from the better mechanics, i can see your repositioning and awareness of enemy positions and peripheral information has really improved too. i'm trying to work on that myself.

Wow... If I'd seen someone's progression over a year with the same weapon directly on youtube, I'd never have really believed it was possible. I've always had this problem with the aim personally, even though I'm a Tetra Main, but precision and knowing how to use the same weapon in all game modes is something I'm incapable of, great performance and congratulations!

I used to play scope and one thing I know is that people do not pay enough attention to the charger. I dropped the entire playstyle and now cannot play any backliner. You made me want to get my brother off of snipe and play it myself. See ya T-tek!

Squid school said to me, based on this line of enemy ink, where is the opponent? Now answer the question in 50 milliseconds. I think that takes years of FPS experience. But I still enjoy the game. Thats whats so great about Splatoon. I can play shittily and lose and still have a good time.

1) The way I practiced when I started learning was with playing story mode levels with the charger. I've been playing less recently so I don't really practice as much as I used to :') 2) I don't play ranked as often as I used to but when I do play ranked I try to think more about what's going on currently in the game and how to get ahead rather than what the results at the end of the game will be 3) I never really watch my replays but it's definetly a habit I should get into more

At the beginning, the players weren’t very aware/scared of the laser, but you still hit good shots. The further in, the better the shots get. Edit: I feel like chargers and snipers in general are terrible at balancing. I mean, games are built off of risk vs reward, and snipers have different versions of it not only to other weapon types, but also charge vs non-charging snipers. They have to be weak at close range but good at long range, and charging snipers are better at that. They can have consistent aim, but bad damage at lower charges, whereas non-charging snipers have terrible accuracy. People need to understand that they only get good value at longer ranges either way, and struggle up close. So, map design and game mechanics also play a part in sniper balance.

In the beginning I was playing in turf war but then moved on to ranked, which is the reason for the change in skill level of the enemies. And I agree that snipers are really hard to balance 🥲 even as a charger main I'm not sure how I would balance them if I were a game dev lol

Yeah it was very tough at first. When I didn't feel like doing drills I just played turf war to practice or did some hero mode levels (Back in Splatoon 2 I practiced a lot on the Octavio boss with the charger; I would try doing some of the charger levels in Alterna or Side Order as a form of practice) Also if you haven't tried it yet, I would try to switch to motion controls. It's not completely necessary but it makes aiming with chargers much easier

Thank you!! I haven't played Splatoon as consistently for almost a year so I never had enough chunks to make good gear so most of the time I just wore what gear looks nice lol. If you need gear recommendations sendou ink is a very good site to get an idea of what gear most people use for certain weapons. If I had to pick one charger variant it would probably be the splat charger since it's more mobile and I can make trickshots easier with it

I’ve been playing charger on and off, because I play other weapons more than charger, and I been playing it for like a 1 year and 5 months(?) probably more but I really like playing chargers in 2 I used to be best at squiffer but I picked up the e-liter and stopped using the squiff as much. My favorite charger was definitely the scooped Kensa. Tbh you can really tell that the first clip is one of your first times using snipers you were moving cautiously and you thought about shots a lot more like “is it worth the try?” I’m definitely not as good with snipers but I like playing them and I think one day I’ll look back and say “I’ve really improved”

Ey! Nice shots! I could never play charger cuz I'd embarrass myself >.< Battling chargers is kinda annoying but fun at the same time because you'd work extra hard to keep from dying and keep the team going for the win. Personally, I think playing as the charger is tough depending on who you're battling against but kudos on improving nonetheless! We all need a little action sometimes in these battles. Sensitivity is up to you! That stuff comes with feelings someone could like 5+ for gyro and -3 for sticks, but you could feel the sticks are too slow and want to bring it up to like +4

Always practice! Mess around with the charger types before settling on one, and aim drills. When I started out I went in to turf wars try starting out in a more casual environment (even though turf is feeling less casual than ever before)
