The salmon run badges are some of the hardest in the game for me. I have played exactly 200 shifts at this point in the game and I only have 2 boss splats total. I have a massive respect to people who overfish because It’s no small feat to get good at salmon run.

If you see anyone with the Level 999 badge, I’d think it’s pretty safe to assume that they’ve gotten the badge through mods/hacks. For context, Splatoon 3 has only been out for a little over 11,500 hours, and when you factor in basic necessities like sleep, spending that much time online becomes unfeasible pretty fast. So I’d argue this belongs at the top of the list - at this time in the game, it’s physically impossible.

@@fate7418 even if you spent every waking hour playing Splatoon, you’d only have clocked around 7,500 at this point (given 8 hours a day for sleeping and generally keeping yourself alive as a human being). It’s probably technically possible, but even if you make enough money to live by streaming one game literally all day every day, there are things you have to do to make sure you don’t accidentally commit tax evasion or something. And besides, if you’re good enough to get quick KOs in 99% % of the games you play in ANY solo-queue team-based shooter, you’re probably good enough to have basically any e-sports team begging at your doorstep.

The gold Grizzco points club badge does feel a bit unfair with the huge gap. So huge props to monomy for achieving it with +20k shifts.1 million is definitely more of a reasonable number, or heck, Nintendo could do the splatoon "3" theme and make it 3,333,333 points. It would still feel feesable compared to the current requirements. Currently i have 1 million, so im nowhere near gold.

This is what aggravates me about this game so much! Back in 1 & 2, you didn’t have to be the very best (like no one ever was…). As long as you stayed on top of the game’s events, you could obtain all the collectibles, no sweat. I’m a collector by nature; it’s how I play games and enjoy my hobbies. But the way they have handled Splatoon 3’s badges is infuriating! It honestly seems like a slap in the face to those of us who just want to collect and have fun!

I got to 5 stars with my Tri-Stringer, and according to the app, I have 446 wins. Most of them were Anarchy wins. Of course, not all of them were knockouts, but I'm proud of myself that I got closer to that number than I thought. I don't play Private battles.

It's worth saying that even though it's true up to 80 division-specific X badges (40 in each division) could be handed out each season, quite a few players are top 10 in multiple modes, meaning that it's possible the total number of people receiving the badge will be less than 80. The same holds true across seasons, with a few players frequently in the top 10 on multiple (or all) modes every season.

That's insane! I think I'll just enjoy playing Splatoon. I did five-star my Splatana Wiper and I did get the bronze capsule once (10x of each chunk). I do wish Salmon Run was a lot easier, or at least for gear to be cheaper. I've not played a ton of Salmon Run vs. the anarchy or Turf War, maybe 4-5 hours on average, it took me a long time to be able to get a blue suit back in October and currently, I only have 5 silver toward a new suite three months later. I have seen a few players with the black suits, I've seen none with the new designs.

You will see the new suits pretty often at Eggsecutive VP rank. The probability of getting silver and gold scales increases with the Hazard Level and (if and) how quickly the King Salmonoid was splatted, i.e. the average rank of the crew of each shift, but there is also pure luck involved in how many scales in total and of each worth you get exactly (except for pre-determined minimum of total scales, which are most often all bronze). But gold scales are even in the highest ranks very rare. The most expensive single item that you can buy with these scales is a golden Salmon Run banner that costs 333 golden scales. That's why they are so rare.

While unlikely, it is *technically* possible to be lucky enough to get the shellout badge, but earning the 5 star neo sploosh badge is physically impossible since the human body would die from playing that weapon long before you get that much turf inked with it.

There is one mercy to the golden capsule seekers: splatfest capsules use a different RNG seed from normal capsules so if you have a bad normal capsule one you might have a good splatfest one. It at least a better one

Because one could otherwise assume that 4:3 is a won series since more battles were won than lost in the same series. Nintendo should have simply called them "Win Anarchy Series 250 times in total" to avoid confusion since each Anarchy Series consists of multiple Anarchy Battles.

I know I am months late, but still want to mention this who played salmon run most of the time. One type of Salmon run badges that is not too difficult but still time consuming & challenging to get, similiar to the anarchy series & X- rank badges... Are the Salmon run Gold Stage badges, also known as the 9s badges. You get them for reaching rank eggsecutive VP 999, the highest VP on a particular salmon run stage. Getting 9s on all the stages is a hugh goal for anyone who plays salmon run. Not only do you have to dedicate a lot of time for that map rotation since playing salmon run without losing a single shift could take up to 10-12 hours straight, if you start from EVP 40 with no breaks that is (based from the community's calculation). You also have to take into the account what weapons are currently active, your teammates, RNG and then Hazard Level Max during the last 200vp, which for many players is quite difficult to overcome. especially if your doing freelance. They were even harder to get before patch 6.0.0. when there were no checkpoint system in salmon run, which meant you had to fully dedicate your time for that salmon run rotation before it ended to get that specific gold stage badge. However, many times there are many good weapon rotations that comes up, including golden rotation, which are your best bet to get the badge for that stage. While the other variants of the stage badges like bronze and silver are nice and a good achievement. Getting 9s on one stage is like completing a full circle. Getting all the gold stage badges really shows your dedication to Salmon Run. Still, the king salmonid gold badges and the gold grizzco point badge is even more difficult to achieve, personally.

Id say for the grizzco badges it goes from king badges < big shot badge < golden point club as you can guarantee a king just by cycling and if you are dedicated to even get the badges you will have a team anyways. Big shots are so rng dependent that I know of people getting the golden points badge before the golden bigshot (most likely to letting other people kill them) but yeah big shots dont spawn as much as others and even then they dont spawn in big hordes like others

Plus Big Shots are part of the more tanky Boss Salmonids. 1,200 HP with no damage modifiers and then you get rolled with the puniest DPS weapon.

I like the idea of implementing ways to make some badges easier and I have some ideas. For salmon run I think it would be cool if you got a points multiplier for killing bosses if you have there silver or gold badge. For PvP maybe you could get a multiplier for having the gold badge for any respective mode. Another idea could be to have a percent multiplier based on your series level or your x ranking, similar to how sr has a multiplier based on your points level. For shell out, maybe you could pay more money to increase your odds of getting a silver or gold capsule.

I remember someone did the math. If someone played the game as much as possible, with the double xp ticket, and factoring in the average recommended 8 hr sleep, we should in theory, start seeing the badge show up in late April or early may without hacks. But even then that's the quickest possibility. That's not counting potential lag/disconnects, playing other modes, etc.

Concerning the hardest badge there is extra coding ensuring that in a certain region of capsules (dunno if 1,000 or 10,000) you are confirmed to have at least 1, but since this reflects a grind of cash equivalent of uncalculatable time for everyone this is arguably the hardest non-combat related badge.

The skill is called "playing Splatoon 3 at a high level" (at least for the badges for non-Main Weapons and non-Special Weapons). Learning this skill is rather challenging and those that do reach that level, would be good at many high value jobs in today's world. These badges should count as certificates for certain jobs. They would be more meaningful than most job interviews or diplomas of higher education (I am serious 😅).

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the X rank badges should be harder if Nintendo only plans on handing them out while the game still gets updates. Counting this season, there should only be 2-3 more seasons left. Which means there’s only 160-240 badges left to give out.

I think even though there won't be new content, there will still be new "seasons" every 3 months where all the rankings reset.

I think the reason the absurd badges never bothered me is because I come from an MMO mindset where the idea is you’re supposed to take literal years to earn them.

Man Im at level 62 right now and Im halfway to Level 100 as thats my goal currently right now and Ive been playing the game since Christmas of 2022 over a year now as that Christmas is when I got the game itself. I do not have the patience nor skill to even think about getting to Level 999 neither. But in Red Dead Online Im Rank 161 think its been so long since I played that game I might need to get back to it. :)
