I think Chatfish wouldn't take the free Rooks, because they were attacked by the Queen. And the rule specified, that only a lower value piece taking gets points, I think

That's definitely part of it, but the rook not being on the board would still make the score 5 points higher. I imagine it was a mix of the center code and the code that incentivizes forks, since capturing = no more fork

​@@GreenLemonGames typically when chatfish can take a free rook it is the earlygame, so if he takes the rook he would still be forking a backrank piece and the pawn on the edge. I think chatfish would still gain a little points from the capture, but chatfish would prioritize other rules like sticking pieces into the center

Make the rules: Every push of a pawn is +1 The further a knight/bishop/queen is from the enemy king is -0.125 per square (use Pythagorean theorem), same for pawns but that's from your king, for a rook it's like pieces but you count the shortest between horizontal and vertical Mate is +999, en passant (the only rule that isn't applied for the other side) is +9999 Pieces are counted normally, including hanging them If you can attack with a different type of piece (except queen vs bishop/rook or vice versa) then +2
