Early Sunsets is one of my favorite songs from Bullets because it's actually sad. Like, you know those songs that try to hard to sound angsty and depressing and it's obnoxious to listen to, but Sunsets is ACTUALLY sad. The whole song just sounds so empty and lonely, and Gerard's vocals at the end sound so much more raw and powerful because it sounds like he's screaming at nothing. Like someone screaming for help with no help in sight for miles. It's a truly depressing song with a depressing story in it.

Their first album was my absolute beacon of light while growing up. Never has an album made me experience such strong incredible imagery in my head. Personally why 3 cheers Is my favourite artistic ly speaking -also because I'd play that album on night drives which were some of my favourite memories. Also I can definitely objectively understand black parade - it's also my favourite, the lyricism in those two albums was so amazing that I legitimately didn't know how to express my awe. BP and 3CH are musical/lyrical/artistic masterpieces and I don't think I could ever choose an overall favourite

i’m definitely biased, but in my opinion, three cheers is their best album. it’s been my favorite album of all time since i was 11; i’ve never found another album as timeless and durable as three cheers. although the concept isn’t as tight as the black parade’s, each song is just dripping in raw emotion. there’s so much variety; one song can have you singing along at the top of your lungs, and the next can have you in tears. there’s just something about that album that struck a chord in me that the black parade couldn’t. honestly, i’d argue that there is not a single bad song on three cheers; yes, some are arguably better than others, but they’re objectively decent songs. it’s opened me up to SO many different artists and genres. it led me down the rabbit hole of alternative rock, where i was later introduced to pop punk and eventually grunge. i owe that album so much. it’s sad that this album is often ignored due to the black parade’s commercial success. it will forever hold a special place in my heart
@raggietyril92195 жыл бұрын
It’s hard to choose because I would put The Black Parade as their best album, since it is such an amazing and coherent album. But at the same time I find myself wanting to listen to songs off of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge more often than The Black Parade. So like the individual songs seem to stand out more for me in Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, but as an album experience, I would definitely pick The Black Parade.

Some songs you missed that are really good are drowning lessons - my favorite off of bullets, I never told you what I do for a living - another great one, and summertime - it's pretty popish but amazing when you read the lyrics it's very relatable for me. I think three cheers is better than the black parade tho because I got into MCR with it and I honestly think that it sounds more raw than TBP and less "Radio Friendly" if you know what I mean. Also danger days is pretty good but I've always thought danger days and bullets are kinda like at the same spot because their both just so good ya know. You should of also rated some random rarities of songs like sister to sleep, Jack the ripper, my way home is through you, and the living with ghosts demos they're all really good especially Emily. The Black Parade is amazing, don’t get me wrong, and the B-side is even better, in my opinion, but it’s been over saturated. I’ve heard it so many times on the radio, in school, at other people’s houses, it’s kinda lost it’s punch. I still love it, but no matter how many times I listen to Three Cheers, it never gets old, that’s why I’d switch them. As an album concept, The Black Parade is phenomenal, it just doesn’t hit my ear that well anymore. I still listen to it, when on shuffle with the other albums, but I can’t play it in its entirety on its own anymore, as I can with Three Cheers. Sorry for the rant, MCR is one of my all time favorite bands, and really got me back into music, so I’m really passionate about it.

Black Parade was great in that it could appeal to a huge audience without jeopardizing the band's original sound. It's practically the Bohemian Rhapsody of the early 2000's.
