Rob Cavallo and Don Gilmore are the best producers of the 2000s, with Cavallo’s phenomenal work on 3 of my favorite albums of all time, Black Parade, American Idiot, and Brand New Eyes and Gilmore’s work on Linkin Park’s first 2 albums, the best tracks on Avril’s Under My Skin, as well as late 90s classics like Eve 6’s Inside Out and Lit’s My Own Worst Enemy, not to mention him always making sure that there is a heavy emphasis on distorted guitars in the mix (unlike most mainstream music producers today) as well an incredible ability to make songs transition from quiet piano to explosive power chords seamlessly

Second comment for this video, I love this album SOOOOO much! Coming from a theatre kid, this album is impressively theatrical in the best way. I can literally picture a stage show version of this (better than the American Idiot adaptation, hopefully) and honestly would probably be first to go watch it. Gerard's performance alone is incredible, but with Ray Toro's amazing guitar work I can't give it enough praise! (Yes, I know there are other members. This entire album is a fucking masterpiece. Every track is solid. This came out when I was 13, and I adored it so much back then, but I’m a way, I almost feel like I like it even more now than I did back then. So theatrical, so bombastic, rocks hard, yet is so tender. It does it all. The guitar work, the bass lines, thundering drums, somber piano, and soaring vocals. One of the greatest albums ever made, fucking period! Also can’t wait till September 29th 😃
